“Such a wonderful spot”
Reviewed 5 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We have just had the most wonderful 3 night stay at Grove Lodge. Giles & Fi have built a lovely space, full of good quality fittings & little touches. Giles greeted us & made sure we knew how things worked, & then most importantly, showed us the tin that contained the most delicious chocolate brownies!! Eggs from the chickens were also there, as was bread & milk. Thank you!
We were always warm, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable.
The local pub, a very short walk down the lane was welcoming & served a great sunday roast.
Dogs are catered for by some lovely walks from the door-our two Labs loved their stay! They say, thanks for their bonios!
We will certainly be returning, hopefully for longer.

“Perfect place to recharge!”
Reviewed 5 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Just come back from staying in the two bed roomed barn. Everything you could wish for was provided, comfy beds, spotless accommodation, heated floors but best of all the welcome basket of goodies (chocolate brownies, fresh eggs etc). One of the highlights of our stay was the view across the valley below and being able to watch hot air balloons drifting along while drinking our morning cups of tea from our bedroom! Thank you Giles and Fiona, we will definitely be back.

“A stunning place to stay!”
Reviewed 25 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed at Grove Lodge for Easter weekend and what a perfect place to enjoy four precious days together. The views are stunning, the cottage beautifully presented and had everything you could possibly need. The extra touches like milk, bread, butter and those fab brownies made such a difference too. Excellent outside space for enjoying a glass of wine whilst looking across Box valley and loads of options for walks in all directions if you were feeling energetic. Quarrymans Arms only 5 to 10 minutes walk away is excellent village pub with a huge menu (make sure you book) and also recommend The Shed in Batheaston. Only 5 minutes drive, it might not look much from the outside at the moment but the food and staff were very good (make sure you book here too). If you are visiting this area and want a special place to stay you have found it in Grove Lodge.

“Great Location, Stunning Views, Well equiped holiday lodge.”

The directions to the Lodge were very clear so we found it straight away, set at the top of a very steep hill was the lodge with stunning views. The local pub just 5mins walk away and had very friendly locals. Just 6 miles from Bath and very centrally located for Salisbury, Lacock, Dyrham Park, Cheddar, Bristol, Wells, Cirencester. We enjoyed several walks around the village of Box. The lodge was very clean and had many extra provisions such as tea, coffee and other basic essentials that we have found many other places lack. A welcome gift of gorgeous brownies, bread, eggs and milk was a great start as you can relax when you arrive and don't need to search for shops to get breakfast items. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxury break in the west country.

“Stunning, Beautiful, Perfect!”
Reviewed 28 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

My fiancé and I stayed with my dad in March 2014, as a last minute getaway. We used to love in Bath so were familiar with the area.
Grove Lodge, where do we start?! Absolutely beautiful. The lodge has been built and furnished with such love and care, the finishes are stunning and nothing has been forgotten. The little extras on arrival were lovely, and my word, the best brownies in the world!
Perfect location for exploring Bath and the surrounding area, but if you don't feel like venturing out, the lodge is perfectly equipped for a hideaway weekend! The views are stunning, we were lucky enough to have beautifully clear skies to watch the stars with a nightcap!
We've now found our base for when we visit Bath, we haven't stopped recommending it to people since we got back, and we can't wait to return!

My boyfriend and I were really happy with our choice to stay at Grove Lodge. As soon as we pulled up we were welcomed with amazing views and a food pack which included freshly lain eggs, yummy brownies and homemade bread. The kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed and the ensuite bedrooms were perfect. It was a great place to entertain friends and family and a good base to explore the nearby towns and villages or to go for long walks. We would definitely recommend Grove Lodge to our friends and family and plan on coming back soon. Giles and Fiona, you're doing a great job!
