“Lovely B&B!”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

We had a lovely stay with Gill at the weekend. We were at a wedding in Lacock, so location wise it was perfect. Gill allowed us to check in early and booked us a car into Lacock, so very accomodating. Lovely rooms and a fantastic breakfast in the morning to help us recover after the excesses of the night before! And very good value for money as well.

We had 4 super days here, the room was lovely and the breakfasts suited us perfectly. We are vegetarians and Gill certainly knew how to cater for us. Gill was so friendly and welcoming and we can strongly recommend this accommodation. Thank you, Barbara & Derek.

An absolutely lovely b&b. Stunning characterful farmhouse, set in a peaceful corner of the county, yet with good access to Bath and surrounds. Gill is a gracious, engaging host and our room was delightful, comfy bed, well appointed bathroom, brilliant views of the garden and fields (we saw a woodpecker on the feeder). The hearty breakfast was just what you'd expect; well cooked and served in the gracious country farmhouse dining room. Highly reccomended and we'll be looking for excuses to stay again soon.

I have stayed here four times now & each time I hate to leave & cant wait to get back ! Gill is warm & welcoming & her breakfasts are to die for using all locally sourced products. Wonderful little delicacies in the bedroom & if you're lucky you may have a visit from the cat.
Highly recommended.

3 of us went to stay here for one night and it could not have been improved. The location is stunning (surrounded by fields and the rooms have lovely views) and the feel of the place is so welcoming. The rooms were spotless, beautifully presented and were stocked full of teas, coffees and treats. It was a perfect place to stay for the type of trip that we went for.

There was such a wide variety of food available for breakfast and one thing that can be guaranteed is that you wont leave hungry! i had probably a better meal at Pickwick lodge farm than i have in most hotels I’ve stayed at. It was made with all local produce and the taste was magnificent.

The location is also good. You need the car to get to most places but its very near to bath and other little villages. We went to lacock and corsham on the first day then into bath on the second and no journey took more than 15 minutes.

I would highly recommend it and if I ever go back to bath I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!

Having stayed here last year we were looking forward to a return visit. We were not disappointed and delighted to get the same comfortable room as before. Gill made us most welcome and made us feel like old friends. The breakfast was perfect with home and local produce - with details where to obtain helpfully listed. A visit to nearby Corsham is a must with interesting local shops and friendly service.

My husband and I and a friend stayed one night in a triple at the Pickwick Lodge Farm. Our room was lovely and we had exclusive use of the bathroom down the hall. The original house was built in the 1600s; the latter section was built in the 1800s. It is a working farm where they raise beef cattle and grow wheat and canola on 700 acres [part of which is at another location]. The house is a 10 minute drive from Lacock village and about 20 minutes from Bath. Gill, our hostess, was friendly and gave us some helpful travel tips. Breakfast was delicious. We'd recommend this lodging option for folks traveling in the area with a car.
