“Lovely B&B”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

I was really impressed with this B&B. The double room was huge, and had both a double and a large single, and was very clean. Great cooked breakfast and the staff were all lovely and friendly. Thanks!

I was fetched from the station on my arrival in Chesterfield and was made to feel very welcome. The accommodation is basic but very clean with a comfortable bed and (!!) good quality pillows. Couple this with a TV, en-suite bathroom (with a bath!!), the option of a full cooked breakfast in the company of charming yet discreet hosts for £30 a night inclusive.... What is not to like?? I highly recommend it and I wish both Kate and her son a very lucrative 2014! They deserve it!!

Room Tip: Rear of accommodation is away from main road nice and quiet.

A room with a car park and a cooked breakfast for £24 each, walking distance from town centre. What's not to like!
It's not 3 star but suited us for the one night, if we visited Chesterfield again we would possibly try somewhere else, but would we wish we had returned to Flags?

I stayed at The Flags Bed and Breakfast from 3 -9 June. Kate and Glenn are good people. This place could do with improvements. There are no buscuits on the hospitality trays and only minimal amounts of milk for tea. There are also notices about not eating in one's room. This is the only bed and breakfast I have stayed in where I have found these rules. The carpet in the loo in my room had holes. There was also no information about the local area in the reception. You must go to the Tourist Information Centre in town to learn anything about the local area.

The breakfasts were very nice. I enjoyed the eggs and sausage,

The location is good. It took me 20 minutes to walk each way from town.

I enjoyed my stay here. I just feel there should be sweet biscuits in the rooms. This is the first place I have stayed where there has not been any.

The room was nice and clean. Kate and Glenn are very helpful.

Room Tip: I would choose a room in front

Had a week long stay here during home problems. Was treated kindly without interference into circumstances which was much appreciated. Clean warm rooms, good breakfast. All in all would like an excuse to visit again (dates not accurate as stayed in 2010)

When we visit family and freinds in Sutton in Ashfield, Chesterfield and Sutton in Ashfield, and rather than moving about from place to place, we base ourselves in Flags B&B for a 7 night stay. Kate and her family have a well run, clean and tidy B&B where the rooms have everything a visitor needs to enjoy their stay at exceptional value for money - the breakfast alone is worth the price! - and i cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Room Tip: Book ealy to avoid disappointment
