Description: Food Hygiene 5 stars Stephensons Tea and Coffee House is situated in a splendid Victorian building adjacent to the famous Crooked Spire Church. The contemporary tea rooms are light and airy with views across town. First class drinks and coffees are made by our Baristas and served by friendly staff. The vast majority of the foods we sell, including all quiches, tarts, frittatas, soups, cakes and scones are made 'in house' by Mum and Son team, Claire and Sam. Our menu is extensive and we also have a seasonal specials board. We cater for a wide range of Special Diets, and are always happy to 'tweak' our menu for individual customer requests. Stephensons are currently winners of the best Coffee and Tea Shop 2013 and 2014and Finalist in Customer Care.

“First Class”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

The perfect place for lunch with very high standards.
Sandwiches served with a lovely side salad, home made coleslaw, beetroot and apple, chutney and very tasty.
Tea is served in a large tea pot that seamed to be endless.
Tables nicely spaced out to give plenty of room.
Will definitely be revisiting here when we can.

“National Gardens Scheme meeting with coffee and scones”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Three of the Derbyshire NGS county team (County Organiser, County PR officer and an Assistant County Organiser) met for coffee at 10:30. We left at 1:00 after enjoying numerous outstanding coffees and feasting on the most amazing scones (savoury and sweet) that we have ever tasted.
We'll be back and we'll take a full lunch next time.
Absolutely fantastic food and staff.
We need a "5 plus" rating for this one!

“Delightful Suprise!”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 via mobile

Having lived in Chesterfield for over 40 years, we have always struggled where to go for a spot of lunch whilst in the town centre. Having found this on Trip Adviser and reading the reviews we have decided to recently visit for lunch. We could not recommend this highly enough, pleasant surrounds, pleasant staff and fantastic food. We shall be using this as a regular 'haunt' from now on. As the other reviewer says it definitely worth the trip up the stairs!
