Great place to stay, very warm and comfortable with staff to go with this, just off the main road but there is a railway line close and you can just here the noise from this, we did not find this a problem and you have got to listen hard for this. Close to all attractions and main sites such as Chatswell, Matlock and lots more. We recommend this hotel highly and would go back again and again and probably will.

.....just like every other Premier Inn, and this is a good thing.

It offers a warm welcome (thanks Rosie), a clean and comfortable room and a good night's sleep at a very fair price. What's not to like?

The rest of this review is pure filler - apparently reviews have to be at least 200 characters but I have nothing more of substance to say.

Room Tip: The rooms on the canal side are a little quieter.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in March 2014. The hotel was clean and well presented in the public areas and our bedroom. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and helpful. Toiletries, tea and coffee etc. were replenished daily and the room was cleaned daily.
The integrated Brewers Fayre restaurant was also very well kept and staff polite and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and good value for the " eat all you want" deals available. The evening food was ok but not fantastic. The speciality buffet food looked fine early on but not so appealing as the evening wore on. It was quite busy each evening so booking a table is a good idea. There is a children's play area at the far end but noise wasn't an issue.
Hotel is well situated for the town and for trips out to local attractions such as Chatsworth House, Balewell, Matlock. There is a canal running alongside the hotel which offers a pleasant enough walk into town avoiding the traffic. It takes about half an hour to forty minutes each was. Bits of it do however suffer from rubbish coming from the factories either side.
Overall a very well organised hotel and I would recommend it.

Room Tip: We had a room on canal side which was very quiet, it avoided the railway line at the back and major...

warm welcome by receptionist, rosie, the room was clean and warm and as usual contained tea/coffee etc,t.v comfortable large bed and large clean towels.the double glazed windows kept the noise down from the railway line just over the car park, but when they were opened it was a bit noisy. the meals were good value pub grub, quickly served by cheerful staff... really good breakfast. booking your evening meal is advised as it gets very busy..excellent value would stay here again

Room Tip: choose a room on the canal side of the hotel.

The welcome we received at this budget property was far warmer than that given at many top range hotels we've visited.
Among the nice touches was a letter in the room giving details of the staff on duty and how to contact them should a problem arise.
Our room was clean and quiet and contained some extras not always included in a low cost room, for example hair dryer and soap dispensers. Comfortable beds and pillows and soft towels completed the picture. Booking early meant we paid just £29 and we think it's a steal!
Be aware though that locating this hotel can be testing as it is set just off a busy roundabout so sat nav or a careful study of the instructions is advised, particularly at night.

I stay at this Premier Inn on a regular basis due to business commitments. As usual, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast service was excellent. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area!
