Just returned from a two night stay, stayed in the Chats worth Penthouse, what a lovely place, booked through booking .com. As I have walk in showers at home ,whilst away I like to have a bath, after choosing a room with a bath,we was contacted by the owners to say all rooms with a bath had been taken, couple e-mails later the lovely owners contacted us to say they would upgrade us to a room with a bath.Wow is all I can say what a lovely place, spotless clean ,massive bed, bath in the room ,separate large shower room. Its a lovely place to stay no hassle, two minutes walk to the lovely town of bakewell.Hopefully will stay there again very soon.

Nice place to stay BUT ITS NOT A HOTEL its a lodge. Each room has a small kitchenette. Very tidy and clean. The bed, however, was a bit passed it, quite uncomfortable and the quilt had lost its fluffyness. Overall needs to be a bit cheaper then it would be value for money.

What a wonderful place to stay! I stayed here the night before my wedding at Chatsworth and the night of my wedding in August 2013. Georgina and the staff were so accommodating. The nervous bride to be and her lovely family and friends were made very welcome to use the dining room in the beautiful Hall on the eve. There is amazing artwork throughout the Hall and the rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated. The Chatsworth Suite where we stayed was simply amazing with a bath I could have stayed in all day! The morning of the wedding was very busy with photographers, stylists and bridesmaids getting us all ready but all ran smoothly! On our return to the Hall late evening our bed had been laid with rose petals and champagne and breakfast all ready. Georgina had thought of everything. It is a memory I will never forget. It truly is a gorgeous place to stay. It's setting overlooks Bakewell and it's surrounding area. Very picturesque. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 3 nights and were delighted with it.

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted, and upgraded from the double room we had booked to our own top floor suite comprising a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and dining space. We even had a balcony to step out onto and enjoy views over Bakewell and the peaks.

Everything was clean and well maintained with fun and bright art work hanging from every wall. Each room we saw seemed to have its own style, ours was modern and funky, but we also saw a French shabby chic style room, and the shared lounge downstairs had wood paneling on the walls with luxurious chairs and a chaise.

We'd definitely stay again.

Thank you for a very memorable experience will definetly return. A beautiful building in a very picturesque setting. My wife and i stayed in the Mirabeau suite which is beautiful and very well equiped the only thing missing was the robe and slippers which didnt detract from the overall experience. On arrival we contacted Georgina who promptly met us in the car park and checked us in. There was an array of useful booklets about the area which she pointed out before taking us to our suite. An excellent experience. And the bath is to die for.Worth every penny and we shall be returning aswell as recomending to friends and family.

Room Tip: Mirabeau suite is everything and more for a romantic get away

We have just celebrated a large gathering of friends and family at Bagshaw Hall - 16 adults with 16 children aged 18 months to 10 years. For this large group the hall proved the perfect venue, offering a well equipped and comfortable communal space, and rooms with enough space for kids to camp on the floor. We self catered, using the kitchen downstairs, and the large dining room was adequate. The Hall is situated just a short 5 minute walk out of the centre of Bakewell (steep hill), and is a perfect base to experience all that Bakewell has to offer.
Georgina and David are very friendly and welcoming and certainly helped our group feel at home.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
