Had lunch here on market day. Very busy, but the service was fine. My food, however, was very mediocre, and my wife's fish and chips were OK. Not somewhere I'd go again.

This place should be much better than it is - good location and nice layout but a lot of factors let it down. Coffee is much better elsewhere (Nice,Costa, Austrian Coffee Shop etc). The service is fairly poor - the staff don't seem to care and don't make you feel welcome. Well worth missing.

We stopped for a Bakewell tart and coffee. Looked for a place that was big enough for the four of us and a buggy and this place seemed large enough with space to seat us.

We ordered two coffees, two puddings and an apple juice and didn't get much change from £20. I don't mind paying this if the quality is excellent, but it wasn't.

Cold custard, small portions and constant moving of buggy or people (tables were too close together) wasn't great I'm afraid. Could be great, needs more attention to detail.

Went with the family yesterday (Easter Monday) really lovely meal served by extremely pleasant waitress. Three of us had rib eye steaks and our daughter had pizza, all well presented and very tasty. Have been before and it was great then. Much better than queuing for ages at the chip shop opposite although that is fab too - we could not manage to get up the stairs with a pram to their restaurant. Would return in a heartbeat.

Visited H's cafe on a busy Monday which is also market day. We had an hour before carpark ticket expired. Called in at lunchtime, cafe was quiet as was takeaway area so we should have known better. Pleasant waitress took our order for 2 baguettes and pot of tea. Came back 5 mins later to say one of fillings not available so chose another. When the food came there was no butter on the baguettes I asked if this was normal, she went to speak to chef, she told us trainee had forgot to put it on. No apology was offered or reduction. We wont be going back.
