“Fantastic wedding.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

We have just held our daughter's wedding at Hassop Hall and it was a truly magical day. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, and Helen, their wonderful wedding organiser. Their attention to detail is second to none. The ballroom is beautiful traditional room and it looked stunning when set up for the wedding breakfast. The food was fabulous, and the staff very efficient and unobtrusive.
What an amazing place. Thank you.

We attended a family wedding hosted by the hotel. Our room was large and light and airy, with spectacular views. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was superb. There are not enough superlatives to describe the ballroom where the wedding reception was held, stylish and sophisticated with lots of rooms to sit around and relax with family away from the main room. The food was truly excellent and the service was first class. Amazing.

Room Tip: Room 25 large and airy. Shower attachment over a giant bath.

We were celebrating out 40th wedding anniversary and as our wedding night was spent in the Peaks it was right to go back here. The entrance to the hotel is wonderful and the views stunning. Our only criticism would be the approach to the Reception Area which was tucked away in the back and just a hatch in the wall. Our room was wonderful and the shortbread biscuits on the tea tray and the silver tea pot etc were spot on. The bar was very homely and the meal excellent. Slept like logs and the breakfast was just the best - again served with silver tea pot etc.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the garden and adjacent fields - it was large light and airy

As you roll up the drive it is clear it's a lovely place. Warm welcome and shown to our room. Room 14 is lovely with a 4 poster bed huge bathroom and great views over the gardens. Hotel is well located for trips round the local area. We dined at the hotel and were happy with the main course (Fillet £11extra) and sweet trolley. My starter was a disappointment, 5 cold unshelled prawns sticking out of a wine glass and two dollops of cold sauce on a white plate. No colour, garnish etc. I have to confess that the curry and Marie Rose sauces looked like they were out of a jar. Whilst this wasn't enough to put us off this nice hotel it was not up to the standard you might expect, particularly as this starter was £4 extra.
Overall cost was £340 for the night including the wine at £33. At that price things should have been perfect.

Just back from our Daughter's wedding reception at Hassop Hall. There are not enough superlatives to describe this hotel. As a venue for a Wedding it is absolutely spectacular. The hotel is beautiful with so many lovely cosy rooms to choose from. The bedrooms are sumptuous and well appointed. These are all attributes that you could find at many luxury hotels but….what makes Hassop Hall so special is it's wonderful, caring and attentive staff. From the owners through to the staff serving our meals during the evening everyone was helpful, caring and attentive to our every need. From the time we first stepped into Hassop Hall to look around twelve months ago, to the moment we checked out of the Hotel this morning the whole experience has been an absolute delight. Many, Many thanks for helping to make our daughter's wedding the best day of her life..

Room Tip: Room 17 possibly the best in the house.

As part of celebrating our 50 years of very happy marriage we took a mid week break at Hassop Hall. We can't rate it highly enough. A wonderful room with a great view over the Derbyshire hills we have grown to love over the years. A bathroom to die for! The breakfasts and dinners were great, with friendly and attentive staff throughout. We could live on the French Onion Soup!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with views over the countryside.

We have recently celebrated our 'mini-moon' at Hassop Hall.
We cannot recommend it enough after a lovely 4 day break.

The hotel is beautiful, set in acres of amazing greenery. We could see cows and pigs from our bedroom window. We had a superior room with a four poster bed, bay windows and a HUGE bathroom. It was like Downton Abbey! There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us which was a very nice added touch!

The staff were so attentive, professional and very friendly. Everyone knew who we were and congratulated us on our recent marriage. We were advised of good places to visit and walk in the area.

The food was yummy with generous portions and a great dessert trolley!

We will be back to celebrate our anniversary next year!

Room Tip: Room 14 was fab!
