We have just returned from a lovely two night stay in bakewell stopping at the rutland hotel. We booked a room in the court yard over the road from main hotel . Room 35 ground floor 150 pounds for two nights bed and breakfast. The room was spacious, nearly refurbed and had twin beds, shower. We had an undisturbed sleep, the courtyards nice and quiet. With free parking a plus. Breakfast is served in main hotel and we were made welcome and served extremly well by the girls in restaurant. We had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicous, served with toast and hot coffee, fruit, ceriels and crossiants also offered. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel for your visit to glorious bakewell

My husband and I treated ourselves to a stopover here on our way back to Hampshire from Yorkshire. Our room as number 6 and it was very small and stuffy. The window opened out to the kitchen extractor fan so that was noisy. The breakfast priced at £12.50p is not really any better than somewhere else charge £5.So my honest opinion is very overpriced no wonder other reviewers say the courtroom rooms are better value and cooler

Room Tip: Don't ask for room 6

A short but v enjoyable stay, bedroom in the annexe which was quieter ( and probably a lot cooler) than the first room offered in the main hotel building...recently refurbished so v comfortable..great breakfast, lovely staff, set right in the heart of this beautiful Peaks market town

Lovely Hotel in the heart of beautiful Bakewell . Lovely and clean , beautiful room , great bar , fabulous food , helpful staff , I cant review pool as there isn't one !!! Which is no problem x x Wonderful , will be back in September x x x

Room Tip: You are on the main island , location , in Bakewell , so close window at night , and use fan , as Bakewell is a very busy place from around 7am in the morning , but you are on holiday , so get up and explore this very beautiful area !!!!

Here as part of a group meeting up to walk. In my opinion ideal, nice comfortable single room in the courtyard section and good breakfast. Close to the both the Bakewell Tart and Bakewell Pudding shops. This is not a Marriott or Holiday Inn, for me a nice local Hotel

Stayed: June 2014, travelled solo
