Description: Wyes Waters Tea Rooms is located in the heart of Bakewell just off Granby Road. We serve a large range of hot and cold drinks including traditional loose leaf teas and fruit teas and Pollards ground coffees served in our signature cafetieres. We have a large, all day menu which includes full English breakfasts, homemade soups and quiches, hearty lunches such as steak pie and vegetables, snacks like toasties and jacket potatoes and a delicious selection of desserts. We also have daily specials.

A lovely friendly, comfortable traditional tea room. The menu covers a good choice from scone and butter through all day beakfasts to light meals.
They serve a good selection of teas - real leaves - and coffees all with a welcoming smile and a little friendly banter.
We live not too far away and whenever in Bakewell we will stop here for a snack. They are always welcoming to our two (well behaved) dogs and may even offer a little treat for "our boys". I have never known them turn our dogs away although we would fully understand if the restaurant was crowded. Which it frequently is on Market day (Monday) and weekends.
If you are visiting Bakewell I could offer no finer recommendation than Wyes Waters for a refill.

We popped in around 4 on a Sunday, expecting to be told they were closing but instead made an amazing find! It's very friendly, they serve loose leaf tea, which actually tasted like tea. The young lady who served us was very helpful and even put our piece of toffee cake (which was gorgeous) into two dishes and served it with custard for us. I am not sure how many other cafe's would do that?
There were some regulars there are some locals - both a sign of a good eating place :)

Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

We struggled to find somewhere to go for lunch in Bakewell on a busy Saturday afternoon, but luckily a table became free just as we stepped into Wyes Waters. We are so glad we stopped here as the food was delicious and we weren't rushed at all, despite the cafe being very busy. The loose leaf tea with a strainer was a nice touch - the mushroom soup was freshly made and very tasty, and the teacake was soft and buttery. If you're in Bakewell, it's definitely worth giving this place a try.

Thank you very much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the Bacon Brie and Cranberry toastie. We started with it as a special about 6 months ago and struggled to take it off the specials board as it is so popular. I think its time for it to become a permanent feature. We hope to see you again soon.
Best wishes

A beautiful cafe, with friendly and polite owners, instantly felt comfortable and could have stayed there all day. The food was mouth-wateringly delicious and can highly recommend the brie bacon and cranberry toastie, was without a doubt the best toastie ive ever had, the coffee was delicious too, rich and full bodied. no problem with access for disabled people as one in our party is in a wheelchair, she had no problem manovering around. Will definately be returning as often as possible.

Hi Angi R,

Thanks for the feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback. Yes The BBC toastie is a firm favourite. We tried it as a special about 2 months ago and it is still on the specials board!

You are always welcome and we will strive to be as good as we can.

Thanks again.

After coming to Bakewell for many years, Wye Waters Tea Rooms is always our pick of the many cafés in town.

The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, and the menu offers quite a wide variety of snacks, all-day breakfasts, hot dinners, and hot and cold sweets. Tea is real tea - not bags, but real leaf tea in a pot teapot, together with a pot of hot water.

Our favourites are the steak pie dinner, and a lovely ham and mushroom quiche with a fresh salad.

For a lighter bite try the bacon and egg or sausage and egg roll, again with a fresh salad garnish. Around Christmas we also love the home-made Christmas cake and cheddar cheese.

If you're in Bakewell be sure to drop in for a snack!
