Only an overnight stay but Jilly (and Loulou!) made us so welcome. Clean and comfortable accommodation with nice views to rear. Great Derbyshire breakfast to start the day. House only a short walk into Bakewell so very convenient. The excellent hospitality made it a most enjoyable short visit.

This stay made our first visit to Bakewell even better. Friendly and helpful advice was great. Very clean and comfortable with wonderful breakfast. Great location to the town centre and for walks. Loulou the dog is gorgeous.

Lovely location next to the Monsal trail and with wonderful views over Bakewell and the surrounding landscape. Jilly was most welcoming with tea and cake and quickly made this feel like a home from home. I stayed in a single room which was very nicely set up. The shared bathroom is a good standard for a 1920s house. The location is very handy for a brief stroll into the town with all its facilities in addition to being ideal for the country walks. I only stayed one night on this occasion but I will definitely return with my girlfiend at the earliest opportunity. Recommend for walkers, sightseers, ecouples and friends to enjoy the area and the warm welcome!

My sister and I often visit Bakewell, and are so pleased that we have found this gem of a place to stay.
We have stayed here on a few occasions now, and can't praise the place highly enough.
It is in the perfect position for taking advantage of all the lovely nearby walks and cycle trails, and access to the town with all it's fantastic shops, eateries & pubs is just a few minutes stroll down the hill.
Also a fantastic base to visit all the other Peak District attractions.
The reason we love it so much though and why we will continue to return, is the amazing welcome and hospitality that Jill the owner extends to all of her guests.
Her warm, caring personality and brilliant sense of humour, along with her fantastic culinary skills allways guarantee any stay here truly worthwhile and memorable.

Stayed 3nights September. Excellent position for Monsal Trail cycle route bikes for hire locally and for walking into Bakewell or Chatsworth both well worth visiting at any time of the year. Lots of walks and other visitor attractions. Lovely evening meal. Very welcoming B&B.
