We had a great time here. Jeremy our host got things off to a good start by kindly picking us up from the station and driving past Chatsworth. Excellent breakfast and very friendly atmosphere. Barbara's oatcakes (which in this part of the world are oat pancakes rather than biscuits) are delicious and filling and you should definitely try them. The Haven is very near the centre of Bakewell and is also a great jumping off point for walking in the Peak District which we did. Jeremy also has an arrangement with several local restaurants for discounted meals which meant that we didn't spend a fortune eating in the evening either. Our room on the ground floor was beautiful and had a lovely ensuite. Altogether a perfect few days.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my mum over the weekend and couldn't fault it. The hosts are so right for this business, they are genuinely welcoming, kind and thoughtful. You really feel taken care of! The location is great too, just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and with parking. It's a lovely place. :o)

Recently spent time in the Peak District and stayed at The Haven B&B. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner Jeremy, I must say a very warm welcome.
The room was perfect, good size room and en suite. The location was great for exploring Bakewell, a five minute walk into the main square. I would go back with no hesitation. Lovely hosts, room and great breakfast.

Just returned from a couple of days stay at The Haven. There is nothing to fault and I would recommend staying there. Jeremy is a mine of local information and along with his wife Barbara were both lovely hosts. The room was perfectly clean and very cosy and the location is ideal, being just a pleasant walk by the riverside into the centre of Bakewell. Breakfast - A great Full English. To boot the price was more than reasonable and is definitely great value for money.
Thanks again Barbara and Jeremy.

Just returned from a couple of days stay at The Haven. There is nothing to fault and I would recommend staying there. Barbara and Jeremy were both lovely hosts and very accommodating from our arrival. The room was perfectly clean and very cosy for my pregnant partner and I.
The location is ideal, being just a pleasant 5 minute walk by the riverside into the centre of Bakewell. Breakfast - A great Full English and several other tasty looking options available too. The Italian restaurant recommended really was good and with a 20% discount being a Haven guest. To top it off, the price was more than reasonable and is definitely great value for money.

We stayed here for a few days after our wedding day.

We would recommend this B&B to anyone. The location was brilliant with Bakewell being only a short walk away, the room was lovely with us arriving to have chocolates, champagne and rose petals (picked from their garden) in our room as a surprise. The breakfast was lovely and really set you up for a day of activities.

Barbara and Jeremy were the perfect hosts and were just so lovely...we didn't want to leave.

Thank you again for making our mini-moon even more memorable!!

Thank you for taking the time to review The Haven and your kind comments. We felt honoured to be a part of your celebrations and hopefully gave you lasting fond memories of your stay. The groom very cleverly and considerately arranged all the special treats and we hopefully completed the task successfully on his behalf. A lovely couple and we hope to see you both again some time.

We are SO happy that we chose to stay at The Haven. From the moment we arrived, Jeremy and Barbara were warm, gracious and attentive hosts. My daughter and I were given a room on the second floor, which was perfect for us -- it boasted both a double and twin bed, had a lovely hospitality tray, ample storage, a vanity dresser and a vintage fireplace...wonderful! Breakfasts were a delight: cooked to order, served hot, ample and delicious! One day, we wanted to go to Chatsworth and were inquiring about local transportation, as we didn't have a car: well, Jeremy insisted on driving us there! So friendly, so helpful, and full of useful tips and information. The B&B is about a 5-minute walk from the center of town, so it's very easy to get to. Thank you, Jeremy and Barbara, for a lovely and memorable stay....we will be back!
