Barbara and Jeremy were very welcoming and their breakfasts set you up for a good walk! Lovely room and only a few minutes stroll into the heart of Bakewell with plenty of options for evening meals. So many more walks to do so need to return soon!

stayed for 2 nights at the end of June with the wifes cousins and all of us had to agree that the Haven was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were beautiful and everywhere was lovely and clean. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We couldn't fault it. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful in every way,so Ithink we will be going back there again ,maybe in November when our granddaughter graduates from Sheffield university. Thankyou Barbara &Jeremy for a lovely weekend.

We stayed 2 nights bank holiday and enjoyed the lovely comfortable back room on the 2nd floor.
Location nice and quiet outside of town main streets with just a 5 min walk along river through park to get into town. Its a lovely setting to walk along on light spring evening(flat too).
Hosts are so welcoming and breakfast superb, very accomodating for guest's tastes. We have already recommended to friends and family.

Jeremy and Barbara kindly fitted us in late in the day. We stayed for one night in a lovely en-suite room with a massive shower. Everything was very clean and perfectly maintained. We got good advice on what to see in the area and a friendly service. The Breakfast was great. The location was convenient and there was parking just behind the B&B.

Ideally situated within easy walking distance of the town centre The Haven has its own car parking. Our room was situated at the front of the property with lovely views overlooking the park, it was clean and a good size with plenty of storage and lots of coat hangers in the wardrobe. The en suite was small but adequate. There was a good selection for breakfast including a fresh fruit salad and Barbara's homemade oatcakes with various fillings which were delicious and very filling. Jeremy and Barbara were excellent hosts, my husband was doing the three peaks bike ride on the Sunday and had to be out by 6.30 am, Jeremy made him a bacon sandwich complete with HP sauce and wrapped in foil so he could take it with him and have it before he started which was very thoughtful and much appreciated We'll definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Our room was at the front with main road traffic. It didn't bother us as it wasn't that bus...

This was our third visit to Bakewell and The Haven in just over a year. Both Bakewell and The Haven are so welcoming you just have to go back. The guest house is simply delightful with fantastic hosts who could not do enough for you. It's like home from home. Bakewell itself is enchanting, so much to see and do. Everyone so friendly. We're booked in again for September and can't wait! Thank you both.
