Our 4 night break at Old End Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable.
The cottage is extremely comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing break.
We enjoyed the sights and attractions of Derbyshire, such as Bakewell, The Heights of Abraham and Buxton Country Park, and really looked forward to returning to the Old End to rest our weary legs. The cottage is in a perfect location for carrying out a wide range of excursions.
Rosemary was very accommodating and took great care to ensure our stay was just what we needed! Many thanks.
Lovely cottage, historic and quaint, sadly as we travelled with a teenager and an 11 year old, the Wi-Fi was rather patchy and mu husband is over 6 feet tall so the quaint bedroom door was extremely small, not a problem for me but a big one for him! Possibly best as a couples retreat, rather remote. Overall, for the reasons above, would not stay again if travelling all together but would do if alone
A beautiful old cottage in an amazingly peaceful and pretty village. The owner has thought of everything and clearly loves it. It has the best stocked kitchen I've seen and she is extremely responsive.
A lovely traditional cosy cottage. Very well equipped with a very helpful owner. It was great to come back here after a day walking in the surrounding beautiful countryside and when we couldn't be bothered to cook the local pub a few doors down offered a warm welcome and good food. The villagers also made us feel very welcome.
Hope to go back again soon.
Cottage is of historic interest and quirky full of nooks and crannies very well equipped and comfortable in a small hamlet with a great pub a short walk away. Good central location for the Peak District with most attractions within half an hour. Cottage owner very helpful pre stay and the cottage is full of her thoughtful touches. Would definately recommend and stay again
Very disappointed in every way.
Not much more i can say, really.
Bakewell is a nice town.
I would visit the area again, but not this place.
Rosemary was very helpful before, during and after our visit and made us and our dogs welcome. Everything was lovely. Nice walks, places of interest and a local pub! Bakewell is charming with lot's of good eateries. We were even able to get a really good Indian take away (Rajas) delivered from Bakewell to cottage.
