We found this gem of a B&B after a long day at Chatsworth House. Joyce and Ian made us welcome in the universal manner of farmers. Our daughter Jenny, a dedicated horse girl, immediately fell in love with their two magnificent Shire and Clydesdale horses. The farm house is a beautiful historic building surrounded by a working farm. It is very quiet apart from the pigeons calling and the odd owl at night, nothing disturbed us at all. The bedrooms are generous in size and the beds very comfortable. The lounge room is spacious with comfy lounges, and really makes you feel at home. Breakfast was excellent we couldn't eat a crumb more.
Joyce and Ian gave us some suggestions about what else to do on our second day there, so we visited Haddon House and were blown away by that iconic place. We cannot recommend this place too strongly, we have pencilled it in for another visit. Thanks Joyce and Ian, Owen RobertsMore
