I look forward to visiting places around the UK, and further afield. I stay here at least three times each year, and have enjoyed more than 10 years as a client. Always look forward to these weekends.

Hearthstone Farm is lovely with a really homely feel. We were made so welcome by Joyce and Ian. The breakfast selection was just right with a mix of hot food cooked to order and cereals, fruits, toast etc.
The other visitors were really friendly too meaning everyone chatted over the breakfast table, which made a change to other b and b's where people keep to their own space.
We even had a slice of Victoria sandwich still a little warm out of the oven when we arrived! Delicious!
The room was beautifully decorated and felt like a home rather than just a room for the night. Throw in 2 labradors and what more could you ask for. Thank you Joyce, Ian, Ben and Millie for a fab stay. Nicola.

We found this gem of a B&B after a long day at Chatsworth House. Joyce and Ian made us welcome in the universal manner of farmers. Our daughter Jenny, a dedicated horse girl, immediately fell in love with their two magnificent Shire and Clydesdale horses. The farm house is a beautiful historic building surrounded by a working farm. It is very quiet apart from the pigeons calling and the odd owl at night, nothing disturbed us at all. The bedrooms are generous in size and the beds very comfortable. The lounge room is spacious with comfy lounges, and really makes you feel at home. Breakfast was excellent we couldn't eat a crumb more.
Joyce and Ian gave us some suggestions about what else to do on our second day there, so we visited Haddon House and were blown away by that iconic place. We cannot recommend this place too strongly, we have pencilled it in for another visit. Thanks Joyce and Ian, Owen Roberts

We had a really enjoyable stay with Ian and Joice at this lovely B&B in Derbyshire. The bed was extremely comfortable only comparable with our own and we both slept "like logs". Our springer spaniel was made welcome too, sharing our large bathroom and was on her best behaviour! There are some rules to obey when staying with dogs but these were easily acceptable.
There were lots of walks nearby and in the immediate vacinity which we also enjoyed.
The Breakfasts were delicious, the welcome was genuine and the advise when needed was good. we would highly recommend.

We've just come back from a wonderful stay at Hearthstone Farm. Joyce and Ian are the perfect hosts and do everything to make your stay as comfortable and as welcoming as possible. We stayed in Room One which had a lovely big bed and a great walk in shower. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of nice touches, also spotlessly clean. We couldn't have picked a nicer place to celebrate my husband's birthday - we can heartily recommend this B&B.

Only stayed one night but had a wonderful stay. From the peaceful location, the friendly owners, to the the perfect country decor and the fabulous farmhouse breakfast, we immediately felt at home! The bed was very comfortable, huge en suite bathroom and everything was good quality including the Ralph Lauren towels!! Thank you for a lovely stay and, as so many other visitors have done - we will be back...!

We stayed here for one night in Feb 2013, we have a 3 year old and a 6 month old, which most B&Bs in the area are not even prepared to accommodate (this is what I found when searching), even though our children are good sleepers and well behaved.
We were made to feel 100% welcome and relaxed at Hearthstone Farm, the owner even suggested that as the other rooms were all free, we could choose to put our baby in the next room so we all had more space and a better nights sleep! Much more than you would expect from most B&Bs. They were lovely with the children, friendly and chatty. The room was large, but cosy and very comfortable, with a lovely bathroom with views out to Riber Castle. We could not have asked for more. Breakfast was delicious and the lady even set up a high chair with a cushion for our baby who is only just big enough to use one.
We would love to return again and really recommend the B&B to families and couples.

Room Tip: Room 3 is spacious with lovely views and comfy bed!
