“Fantastic”
Reviewed 15 May 2014 via mobile

This far exceeded our expectations and was much busier than we'd thought it would be especially being out of the way! Only downside was that the cafe is far too small.

Fantastic colours. Stunning. They say Reviews must be 100 characters minimum but there is not much more to say! The first two words say it all.

“A Delightful Experience”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Not only a colourful tribute to Rhodedendrens and azaleas, but a flower photographer's dream at this time of year.
I do worry how the gardens manage during the rest of the year, but l did notice several special events were planned.
We enjoyed not only the floral splender, but also a delightful cream tea.
The staff were polite and jovial, and a good time was had by all of our party.
We will return next year.
Thank you Lea Gardens.

A real stunning display of Rhododendrons, Azalea's and many more beautiful shrubs, unbelievable colours and blooms, great homemade cakes in the café, well worth a trip... and don't forget to spot the Newts in the ponds

“Spectacular displays in April / May”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

A beautifully laid out garden on a hillside in the Peak District where a retired high class cloth / clothing manufacturer planted a series of rhododendrons, azaleas and similar spring flowering plants in a very sensitive way.
There are wonderful walks through the gardens, spectacular when the flowering shrubs are at their best.
There's an excellent tea shop (just look for the cakes) and a small nursery selling the plants for which they are so well known.
A really good hour or two (or more) can be spent here. Well worth the visit if you're in the area.
