Popped in here on a rainy day. We ordered sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Good service. Food well presented. Very clean and tidy and good selection of ales if wanted

“still the best bar in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

Have visited MOCA on a regular basis. The place is always kept spotlessly clean. The barmaids are smart and polite as well as welcoming. A quality place with a very efficient and professional management. Light bites ,real ales, plenty of choice at competitive prices. With regard to the chimps tea party feel there are personal reasons behind those comments. Floors are always clean and never have seen food lying around. The reviewer must have been to the CROWN in error and witnessed one of their mad hatters tea parties, Should have gone to specsavers.

“An excellent bar serving excellent beers, serving excellent food by excellent staff.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014 via mobile

As a regular visitor to Moca bar(2_3 times a week),I have never seen, either inside or outside,a scene described under 'chimps tea party'review. This place is always spotless. My standards are very high, and I am very happy to frequent the Moca bar as often as I do.It might be someone has another agenda other than writing an accurate review.

“Chimps Tea Party”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

The beer may be good, if a little warm, but the place tonight was hot and stuffy inside (28 degrees at 6.45pm) with lots of flies. Went outside, to find 6 people smoking, couldn't breathe. The decking and tables outside were disgusting, floor clearly not swept for days. Uneaten food, empty glasses, food on the tables and floor, fag ends, bottle tops, half a bag of crushed walked over crisps under foot. Four day old newspapers. Clearly the boy behind the bar must not have heard of initiative. £4.50 for a pint of Brooklyn Beer??? Cant imagine this place will last now they have a strong competitor further up the hill (Stanleys Alehouse).

“Lovely little place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

Stopped here for lunch and a drink on Saturday lunch time and we were not disappointed. Clean, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. The food was standard fare; sandwiches, pies, toasties, salads and specials but all done very nicely with great choices; beef and Stilton panini and goats cheese and caramelised onion panini. The goats cheese panini was the favourite of our group. Drinks ranged from beers, coffee and lovely fruit pims. Four lunches and drinks came to £35.
