“A must to visit”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

We stumbled across the tea rooms whilst walking the dog. We have driven past lots of times and not noticed it was there.

Our dog was welcomed and even got a biscuit! Enjoyed our tea and scone. The missus keeps going on about visiting again with friends. They even do tea parties.

Fully reccomended

“Quaint and Eccentric”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 via mobile

I love the old world atmosphere and the charm of the staff

The tea served as it should be

Pots strainers and china

The ONLY let down for me were the faux wood fires
Think the atmosphere would have been completed with a real coal fire

But still a wonderful place

“High quality lunch and tea in Cromford”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

A lucky find for us. We arrived in Cromford on a Monday when The Greyhound was closed, the Ship Inn had a staff shortage and the cafe over the bookshop appeared to be very confused about hygiene rules and dogs. Mel and Richard provide superb ambience, great music and lovely food. They are welcoming to walkers, even with a dog, and provide real loose tea of good quality in fine china, home made soup of excellent quality suitable for vegetarians, and wonderful cakes made by a local person. The dog received its own plate with biscuits. This is a place you don't forget - well done and thank you both!
