“Lovely beer”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

Been here before, a Grrene King pub. Had the St Edmunds Ale, but really good, just a shame that one pump could not have a guest beer as there are so many microbreweries in the area that brew superb beers.

“Good food”
Reviewed 12 December 2013 via mobile

My wife and I have been going to the Boathouse for a meal almost every Sunday for the past 2 years the food has always been first class, freshly cooked and very appetising. But to our
horror recently they have had a change of managment, we were most upset by this because we thought the food would change, this was not the case Karen the chef stayed on and the food was just as good despite the standard of service falling at the bar and restaurant. Unfortunately I have been unwell and havent been for a while and last week was the worst we hav every seen it the food was bad and the service was diabolical. Aprently the have even managed to loose the best thing about the pub THE CHEF!! That will be our last visit especially as we have found out where she has gone, just around the corner to the Railway. One final point, one of the staff has decided to use the disabled car parking bays for his own personal use with displaying a blue badge, being a blue badge holder myself it can make things very difficult to get in the place.....what a shame it used to be lovely!!
