I would highly recommend this holiday apartment! Spacious, well equipped and the owners have thought of everything. The living/dining/kitchen area benefits from lots of windows which provide spectacular views to the hills opposite. The balcony provides peaceful outside space to relax in good weather. Two large double bedrooms, (one with en-suite shower room and dressing room), a reading room with a good selection of books, DVDs, CDs and games for your use, and a large family-sized bathroom with THE most amazing jacuzzi bath (which I dare you not to try!!). The owners are lovely, are right next door and on hand for help or tourist information. The apartment has wi-fi, Off-street parking directly opposite the apartment. The apartment is ideally situated for touring the local area. We visited many, many places and the longest drive we had was just over an hour round-trip. It is only a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Matlock, but allow yourselves 30 minutes for the walk back if you are using Bank Road (it is a bit steep). There are easier routes though. Matlock has lots of lovely shops, restaurants, a park, river and coffee shops. We enjoyed our stay very much and, as we only scratched the surface of things to do in the area, have already pencilled in a return visit.
