We visited here on 8 August. This was a farewell drink with a small group of colleagues for one who was leaving the area.
We were warmly welcomed by the bar staff who did not rush us to our table as we waited for all to arrive. Once seated our food order was taken and all meals arrived within about 30 mins. The food was excellent and we can highly recommend the sweet potato chilli. Indeed, this alone is reason enough to return. After the meal we were not hurried off our table at all.
A very enjoyable evening in good surroundings and good honest food.

We had a rare get together with 9 members of our family. We had a table in a corner which suited us and hopefully did not annoy the other people in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and even seemed to appreciate the sense of humour of some of our party. Everyone enjoyed a starter, portions were generous and every dish was given top marks. We sampled, French onion soup, blue cheese and walnut pate, scallops, wild mushrooms, every plate was cleared. Main courses sampled were chicken in bacon, burger, jerk chicken, lamb & mint pie, all well cooked and tasty. By the time the dessert menu arrived we did not all have room for a dessert each, but the tart au citron and white chocolate cheesecake were tried, the White chocolate was disappointing partly as the word brownie had been noticed and the full description not read. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, and will definitely be back... We will try to limit the frivolity !!
