“Lovely Coffee.”
Review of Waitrose Cafe

Waitrose Cafe
Ranked #1 of 3 Coffee & Tea in Saltash
Restaurant details

Waitrose card holders are entitled to a free drink, which means long queues and a shortage of seats due to many customers prematurely grabbing available seats before joining the queue. This is our one criticism. The food and drinks are good, cafe clean and staff lovely and very hard working. If only customers would queue properly, we would have given a top score.

Unfortunately the kitchen facilities are limited and only bacon or sausage gaps were available as cooked, danish pastries and croissants, were available other than sandwiches. Coffee was good though.

I love visiting Waitrose and enjoy a drink and a snack. We were disappointed to be served Tuna Melts without the cheese melted, as though the staff had tried to limit the time it was put under the grill to get more done!
Even more challenging was a tempting Greek salad which turned out to have a handful of uncut marjoram leaves - an impossible herb to enjoy raw. I dare any staff member to eat more than one raw!!!
Lovely teapot set, shortage of cutlery and trays, decent apple strudel

We went in for a light supper meal after driving down 150 miles but discovered they only seem to do tea, coffee and light bites like cakes. There was a queue of people all wanting a free coffee with their Waitrose card which held things up. We won't be bothering again.
