We came for a short break for golf for him and me a spa. Superb. Rooms excellent, clean and very spacious. Hotel amenities excellent. Bar and resturant absolutely superb.
Cocktails more please, fruity and gloriously long and alcoholic.
Coofee excellent.
Breakfast, plenty to chose from and very well presented and piping hot. I had a huge fruit bowl filled high with lots of tasty fruit to put in the dish and I asked for smoked haddock and poached eggs, large, hot and tasty, well done.
My husband helped himself to cereals, toast, and the classic english breakfast, very good.
Lunch in the bistro was excellent and the highlight was an extremely superb dinner in the exclusive resturant which was so good one could not fault the ambience, food or very helpful knowledgeable staff. thankyou
the swimming pools were fab, plenty of room despite it being half term, lifeguards and swim instructors, and better still water jugs filled up when needed. The sauna and jacuzi was excellent. The spa treatments by the very smily courtious staff was sublyme, thankyou so much.
I shall be back, it beats many other golf resorts I have been to to a frazzle.

Excellent restaurant and leisure facilities. Superior rooms are a good size and well-furnished although subject to significant timber floor `squeaking` (also evident in the corridors). I was booked in for a three day business trip which was unexpectedly curtailed at the end of the first day. Understandably I expected to be charged for the second night due to late cancellation. However I was surprised and disappointed to be charged for the third night as well. Buried in the Emailed confirmation T&Cs was the following " if you check out earlier than your confirmation states, you will be charged for the full cost you had originally booked." This is the first occasion in many years of business travel in the UK and abroad that I have experienced this. Perhaps the hotel does not want to encourage repeat business! A pity as the venue and its staff were delightful.

Room Tip: choose a superior room on level 2. It is a flat walk from the carpark and the balconies overlook the...

Excellent rooms, with bottled water in the room, very clean and well maintained.

As the hotel is part of a Golf resort the leisure facilities are really good.

I have eaten in the restaruant in the evening and for breakfast. plenty of choice for the evening meal, with a two or three set course menu available, excellent service and food. For breakfast, plenty of choice with something for everyone.

The hotel is in a great setting, you can walk the course and if you like Golf you will want to play it.

Excellent hotel and thanks for a couple of great stays.

I recently stayed at the resort for three nights. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and provided a very good customer service.

I particularly wanted to mention the restaurant supervisor in the Boesti restaurant. He was really nice and friendly and couldnt do enough for you and really helped me enjoy my meal which would otherwise have been very boring as I was staying away on business.

Luxurious and well maintained facilities.

Stayed two nights on a golf package deal which included breakfast and dinner. The setting is really good with great views of the surrounding countryside. Played both courses and would suggest only playing the Signature course if you have a low to middle handicap as it is very difficult and you could end up losing not only balls but your interest in golf. The Kernow course on the other hand is really nice and although not easy is a challenge.

Never had chance to try the spa but it looked very impressive as was the facilities in general. As other reviewers have commented there is no wi-fi and the place is starved of O2 mobile signal.

The rooms are a good size with a desk, chair, large flat screen TV with Freeview channels and what I personally like; an in room safe. The bathroom was also a good size with a large, and I mean a large, curved shaped bath, unfortunately no handrails to help pull yourself out so be careful.

The food I would have to say was only average, the buffet breakfast was nice with a very good selection on offer. However, the set dinner was a little disappointing in that although it tasted ok it did look a little mass produced if you know what I mean, machine sliced of beef rather than carved.

All the staff I came into contact with were excellent and they appeared to be in large numbers, except in the Spikes Bar where on most ocassions only one person was serving and when hand pumping cask beers and taking food orders results in long queues building up.

Had a good time in good company.
