popped in here for a quick snack as was waiting to view a property. we had the home made pasties for dinner, lovely pastry, melt in your mouth beef but bland potatoes lacked seasoning. for dessert we had the mirungues with cream and strawberry. too big too eat and tasted odd. couldn't see no menu for sandwiches, just lots of cake on display! would have been nice to have seen more savory and baguettes. although staff were faultless very friendly.

We have eaten here a few times for a quick lunch but today was not up to the usual standard. I ordered a bacon sandwich which I have to say was two pieces of chunky bread with one, yes one, piece of bacon inside. Ok it came with a little bit of side salad which to be honest I would have preferred to have had another slice of bacon. Perhaps they had run out - don't know as nothing was said when the sandwich was delivered to the table. My other half faired slightly better because he had a bacon and egg and at least there was a whole egg in his sandwich. We did also have a cake each which was very nice. Such a pity with this place it could be excellent but it looks tired and grubby. People want more these days even if it is only for a quick coffee and cake. Management please take note - upgrade and you will get even more customers.

We went for breakfast, to save having to get our wheelchair out of the car we asked to borrow one but were told in an abrupt manner that they don't have any (a bit strange when the "biggest garden centre in Cornwall" doesn't provide access for disabled customers). Anyway, undeterred, we ventured into the restaurant. Breakfast was fine, hot and freshly cooked and the staff were very polite. BUT, we could sense a definite undercurrent of tension. Not sure what had happened but it came across that the staff were DEFINITELY not happy about something. Shame really because it was the first day of our holiday, certainly won't be revisiting here I'm afraid.

Terrible quality. Very poor service. Far too expensive. Scruffy and dirty discusting outside toilets. Go there at your peril. If you do you'll be sorry!!!
