My Husband ( and dog!) and I have just spent an idyllic couple of days at Swinton Park, it's our 3rd time here and it is superb, as you drive through the gates you can feel yourself start to relax. The Staff are attentive without being intrusive, and the standard of service is excellent. We ate in the restaurant and the bar and am happy to say the food remains outstanding. We'll be back for sure, Thank you.

Stayed here with my family and boyfriend for my Mums 60th. The room was lovely, huge comfy bed, stylish and traditional decor. Complimentary gin in our room was a lovely touch. Powerful shower which doesn't always happen in older hotels. Molton brown luxurious products.
The grounds were spectacular, I don't consider myself an outdoors person and I really enjoyed the walk. So much to see and take in.
The food was a highlight I live near London and the chef was totally on point on what is both delicious and modern. Great wine selection, cosy bar. The bar staff and waiters were so friendly and we got talking to them both nights.
Breakfast was treated as well as dinner and there was so much choice, bloody Mary's at the buffet too!
I've been back a few weeks and find myself thinking about the place a lot. I can't wait to go back.
Thank you Swinton Park!

A very relaxing hotel, we enjoyed an excellent High Tea in the lounge, with attentive but unobtrusive service. Equally enjoyable lunch on another occasion. We weren't staying at the Hotel but were made welcome to stay and relax, in the lounge, for as long as we wished.
The grounds are also delightful, we were there in the Spring when the daffodils were a sight to behold. We certainly look forward to returning in the near future.

Having just returned from a lovely stay at Swinton Park I realised I have yet to write a review on this place, even though this isn't our first time here.

Swinton Park is a wonderfully romantic 'top of the range' hotel. Yes it's a little on the expensive side, but if you time it right, there are good offers available and you won't regret paying that little bit extra. We stayed Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. Even though we booked the cheapest room they had, it was still beautifully presented, spacious with an enormous bed and a bathroom you could get lost in. The evening food and service was exceptionally good, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We upgraded to the tasting menu and enjoyed 8 courses, all excellent in slightly different ways. It was a real experience and something we will definitely do again in the future.

Breakfast was as expected... lots of choice (almost too much) and everything delicious. The perfect way to start a day. After breakfast we enjoyed a lovely walk in the grounds of the hotel before we departed to find a pub for Sunday lunch (This was only due to a wedding otherwise we would have stayed).

We will definitely be returning to Swinton Park to stay and to eat. It's a very special place and deserves all 5 of the stars I am giving it today.

Reading the reviews prior to going for dinner and stay at Swinton Park for a night, my expectations were quite high. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The location is stunning and the house quite impressive. However, the rooms and bathrooms are OK - I would say average. The fire in the dining room smoked so much I had red eyes the next two days. The meal was presented beautifully and tasted of very little. In fact my dessert tasted of absolutely nothing. Way too pricy for what you get. So, I shall not want to return.
