Bhi craic agus ceol againn' : We had fun and music. "Brilliant", as they say in Ireland. The staff was more than cordial, and Fiona, the owner/manager, greeted our family at dinner with a most gracious welcome and a short history of the hotel. (She also has the singing voice of an angel).

Room Tip: All good! Ask the staff if they have a favorite.

Attended a wedding close by and stayed at Cross Square Hotel. Caroline checked us in with no hassle whatsoever. I have to say they couldn't do enough for you. Even offered to drive us to the wedding reception in a neighbouring town. The rooms are spotless clean and the beds very comfortable. This is a lovely part of Ireland to visit and you can cover a fair amount based in Crossmaglen. Caroline had made sandwiches for us when we retured fairly late from the wedding reception. A very nice touch. There is plenty of parking in the square in front of the hotel. The hotel does a good food trade and that is always a sign that the quality is good. Plenty of characters in and out of the bar during the day so there is a great athmosphere. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends. A home away from home.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front look out onto the square yet didn't notice any level of noise in the room.

Stayed 3 nights, April 6 thru 8, 2014. Rooms were very clean, food was the best during our entire 2 week stay and the hospitality was tremendous starting with Fiona (owner) and the entire staff. I would love to go back.

There is a wonderful sense of “coming home” when you arrive at this hotel. You are made to feel relaxed from the moment you step inside the door and it comes from the remarkable friendliness of the staff - I’ve stayed in hotels in Canada and the Caribbean, Bangkok and Boston (where I’m from) and none come close to the genuine welcome you’ll receive at the Cross Square Hotel – another reviewer remarked that you are made to feel like you’re part of the family and I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I stayed for two nights and my room was spacious, bright, and clean, the home cooked food was hot and hearty (try the cottage pie!), and I was given so much that I had to push the plate away when I couldn’t possibly eat another mouthful because I was so stuffed.

When you combine the quality of this establishment, the friendliness of the staff and locals, and the beautiful surrounding countryside, you end up with a very special hotel, in a very special place. It’s the perfect place to stay when touring the local area or when arriving, before leaving, or while touring Ireland. You’ll find true Irish hospitality here like nowhere else.

A special thank you to Fiona, Gene, and Briege (who made me the best pot of tea I think I’ve ever had) and a very special thank you to Caroline.

I hope to see them all soon again.

We had the good fortune of staying at the Cross Square Hotel at the end of a beautiful trip to Ireland . What a lovely stay we had here!! Fiona and Caroline and the whole staff there make you feel as you are at home and part of the family. Very lovely setting and quaint hotel. The rooms were very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The whole staff just went out of their way to make us comfortable and cater to us. We enjoyed a delicious meal here and breakfast. The hospitality was amazing the whole visit. Fantastic Traditional Irish music at night made for a completely enjoyable stay and wonderful ending to our Ireland visit. Thank you Fiona for taking such good care of us all and for the lovely stay at Cross Square Hotel....a lovely highlight to our trip!!

The Cross Square hotel was our first stop in a study-abroad trip orchestrated by Robert Morris University and Professor Jim Vincent, and we truly could not have asked for a better way to immerse ourselves into Irish culture. Nestled in the beautiful, bustling area of Crossmaglen, there was plenty for us to explore within walking distance and all of our amenities were met within 500 feet of the Cross Square hotel, but I digress; the true magic of this Inn came from Fiona and her wonderful staff who not only met all of our needs and ludicrous requests as American, but exceeded all of these things with smiles and encouraging words. It was truly like we'd never left home. We'd come to find later in the trip that we may have been a little TOO pampered here, because she set the bar of our expectations of the rest of the trip very high due to the immaculate quality of service. The bar was well equipped, and the kitchen exceeded my wildest expectations as an American chef. I truly cannot say enough good things about Fiona, the staff, and the accommodations. I would give the Cross Square hotel my highest recommendation to any weary traveler; no matter where you may be in Ireland. It's well worth the trek if you're far and much worth the experience if you are local. Cheers Fiona, and thank you again for everything.

Room Tip: All the accommodations I experienced were well beyond magnificent.
