We ate here on a busy weekend and enjoyed great service and lovely food. The staff were helpful and were great with our somewhat noisy 3 year old! Good all round friendly pub.

21st july, stopped off on journey back home from Fareham to Plymouth. In need of a bit of sustenance and beverage. This travellers rest is an ideal spot to relax tired muscles with good service and the chooce of pleasant outdoor seating if weather permits. Pleanty of history here and snug by the fire in winter.

This is the second time I've been in the space of a week! I came for an evening meal with a few friends the first time and had an AMAZING lasagne! So delicious and a good portion too! Everyone else loved their meals too! We had our meal outside which was really lovely then came inside for desserts, it has such a cosy atmosphere! I came again for lunch and had a courgette bake which was equally as delicious and really decent size! The staff are so friendly as well!

I recently went to the Old Inn for a reunion event. They set up a large gazebo and let us use the skittle alley for our event.
Although they were clearly busy that evening the staff were always friendly and on hand when we were buying each other drinks and food. The buffet they did for us was a good little treat. All in all, very nice place, good food, great staff!

Thank Ashley G
