We booked for one night as we were going for a meal at River Cottage HQ. On arrival we were greeted at the door by Ady and she showed us to the balcony room, a massive room with on suite shower and bath and a beautiful panoramic view of the county side. Next morning Tim served us up a lovey breakfast. A great B & B. Highly recommend staying.

Situated just outside the village of Dalwood and only a short stroll from the pub, this is the perfect place to stay! We stayed in the music room which was extremely spacious with comfortable beds and a very clean, modern bathroom. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and very friendly service. Would highly recommend Summer Lodge.

Very nice and hospitable host, full breakfast and all in all a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed the quiet nights and the lovely nature - even though it was winter. It must be splendid during summer.

Also the local pub "Tuckers Arms" serves really great food and is well worth a visit.

Internet connection is not so reliable so don't expect to do a lot of work.

Our stay at Summer Lodge was lovely and quiet which was just what we were looking for. We have a young daughter and we stayed in the Music Room which was recommended for families. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the Music Room and would definitely recommend this for other families. We went to dinner in the local pub which was busy despite the dreadful weather. The menu was varied and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, offering to adapt dishes on the menu for our daughter.
Breakfast at Summer Lodge was delightful and left us set up for our onward travels.

Room Tip: We would recommend the Music Room for families

A great location, comfortable and clean rooms, helpful and friendly hosts who provided a great breakfast making an excellent start to the day.
I'm always wary of reviews that are all excellent, but Summer Lodge really was.

Couldn't fault - lovely house in great location at top of quiet village with good pub-diner within walking distance. Balcony Room was brilliant (large bright and airy suite with sofa, dining table and king-sized bed) and other room daughter stayed in also large and comfortable. Very comfortable beds, good breakfast, hosts friendly and helpful - highly recommended.

We booked Summer Lodge so that we could attend a wedding held locally and stayed in the 'Music Room' a large family room which would comfortably sleep 4, although there was only 2 of us.

Very difficult to find fault with Summer Lodge; comfortable large rooms, lovely breakfast, friendly hosts, very quiet at night and yet a short distance from a very nice pub / restaurant.

Summer Lodge in short is a great find - AND if you like tennis would be particularly great for a group of friends to enjoy a tennis break as there is a reasonable court which enjoys great views.

Only one negative - we didn't stay long enough!
