I don't normally write reviews but our stay here merits the effort. Friendly, comfortable and excellent value. If you seek a quiet retreat this is the place to go and within striking distance of many attractions, particularly National Trust. Highly recommended.

Don't be put off by the exterior. You get used to the pink paint in Suffolk. We found the owners, Pam and Ray, very friendly and helpful. The bedroom (separate to the inn) was wonderfully decorated and had a good shower. The food, especially breakfast, was plentiful and excellently cooked. We stayed 4 nights and were well accommodated. Strangely, most of the pubs in the area close in the afternoon!

Room Tip: The rooms in the old stable block (where we stayed) had a semi private garden with French windows - a great feature for warm summer evenings.

we stayed at the Swan in for 2 nights only, but during that time the owners made us feel so welcome .we were like family. The breakfast were always too much for me (sadly) but always presented brilliantly. I cant rate this B and B
highly enough, and woulnt hesitate to recommend the swan ( and the Owners) to anyone that wanted a lovley, relaxed place to stay.

Four of us stayed here for three nights while in Suffolk for a family wedding. Pam and Ray, the landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us, we only had to ask.
We had breakfast on the three mornings and one evening meal and the food was home cooked, hot and plentiful and very reasonably priced. The rooms were comfortable and private and had everything we needed.
We had a drink in the bar on a couple of evenings and we enjoyed chatting with the locals.
We would definitly stay here again.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Swan Inn ,when we first arrived we thought it was a little shabby looking painted in traditional Suffolk pink.Once we we went inside and were greeted by the landlord our opinion changed .Both the landlord and his wife were extremely friendly and witty too they made us very, very welome. We stayed in the barn convert which was very cosy and warm (snow outside) We enjoyed 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at the inn and they were of extremely good standard, they were freshly cooked and were served on hot plates too.
Although Little Waldingfield is about 5/6miles from Sudbury we would definately go back again.2 beautiful log fires blazed away the entire time we were there .Also great value !
