Love the view :)
Very near train station.
Good service provided by hotel staffs.
Nearby store to get basic needs.
If booking for a family, its good to know that the highest floor for family room is at level 5. Was checked in to level 2 at first, room was directly above train railway, but managed to change room the next day, to definitely a better view and higher floor :) Was a pleasant stay. Hotel parking rate: AUD$20/night.

Room Tip: Request for rooms facing harbourbridge.

As promised in the advertising we had fantastic views over beautiful Sydney Harbour and didn't tire of watching cruise ships departing and all the other activity.

We had a lovely modern room, including a Loo with a View! Great Bar area. Good breakfast. Highly recommended and well priced.

Advantages:
- The view is truly amazing.
- Walking distance from train station and shopping plaza.
- Benny the cocktail man at the bar.
- Small bar fridge in room.
- $3 drinks during happy hour (5.30-6.30pm)

Disadvantages:
- The train noise rattles the soul.
- Size: small room, tiny en-suite (no bath). Think NYC hotel room sizes.
- Price: $200 for a Monday night. Nice view and all but nothing else justifies the price.
- Reception desk staff young and disinterested. No welcoming air, no smile, might as well be working at McDonalds.
- Shower head gives zero pressure to the water, it just falls on your head.
- Parking hard to access and not enough spaces.

Room Tip: Go higher up. bring ear plugs.

The view from the bar is supberb you are right beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A little noisey with trains. Come here for the view and the soak up a gorgeous Sydney Day. The cocktails are pricey, watered down and just lack lustre. The crowd is a bit older, say over 35yrs and not the hippiest crowd you've seen.

This hotel offers great views of Sydney harbour and is a great option for a short stay but it is a bit old and despite modern fit out you really wouldn't want to stay more than two nights. It's right next door to the train station which makes it easy to get into town for shopping or sightseeing but also if your on a lower floor you get very loud train noise as they rumble right under the hotel to very late and from very early.

Biggest negative was the breakfast limited range of food for the price and service was terrible had to ask twice and wait 15 minutes for coffee. But overall the hotel is good great views good location but service is poor.

The location is great, with views across to Circular Quay and over Lavender Bay. It is easy to get to whether driving (first turn left after crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and you are there) or coming by public transport. The hotel is directly above the North Sydney train station and it is only a 2 station ride into the city. Alternatively, a very pleasant walk down to Luna Park brings you to a ferry stop - and a pretty 8 minute trip across to Circular Quay.

This hotel has a very nice feel about it. It is clean and comfortable, and a good place to relax. the rooms boast spectacular views (although local buildings block views specifically of the Opera House). The rooms are a nice size with comfortable beds and smallish but functional en suites. There are restaurants nearby and you can get over to the northern beaches as easily as Sydney traffic congestion will allow!

It was expensive to stay, but this was at a time when all hotels in Sydney are outrageously expensive. So in relative terms I was content with what I paid.

Room Tip: If driving from the south, take the bridge rather than the tunnel and you take the Pacific Highway t...

Second time staying here. The view and location is one of the best around. Initially you can be put off by the train noise, but you soon factor in that you are staying in Sydney and noise is part of the deal. The train has a soothing, rhythmic sound, which you soon get use to. I said to someone, if you were staying in New York, you would seek out and expect these experiences. It's part of the experience of being in Sydney. Obviously if you are a bad sleeper anyway and clearly have issues leaving a country setting, then this is not the place for you.
The walks near by are some of the best in Sydney. We walked around Luna park, Lavender Bay, under the harbour bridge and to Admiralty and Kirrabilli House. The architecture in the area is wonderful. On Wednesdays they have a free drinks and canapés night. Lots of alcohol but not much canapés. would go back.
