Great location within easy walking distance to buses, ferries and trains - most days we were in the heart of Sydney within 25minutes :-)
Customer service was great - all requests were accepted politey. Checkin was quick even though we turned upvery early and they held our luggage at checkout so we could continuing touring Sydney before our late afternoon flight - thx.
Housekeeping good.
Our room on the 12th floor had been recently renovated and was perfect for our family of four. The technology had everyone facinated as curtains opened and lights turned on/off with the touch of the ipad buttons!
Comfortable and clean.
I must mention a few points though - that with attention will make this room excellent. With all the technology it would have been great to watch the tv without the pictures being stretched to fit the large screen.
Also the room has a great kitchenette - dishwasher, fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave etc but lacks the equipment needed to use these items. No detergent for dishwasher (hence the 4 pots/pans in the cupboards were greasy to touch-the were not clean), no microwave safe containers, no utensils (aside from the standard 4 knifes/forks/plates/bowls etc) and no oven trays (the oven also needs to be attached to the bench as it moves out when you pull open the door).
Lastly the kitchen sink had no water pressure so even filling the kettle seemed to take forever! - the shower however was fine.

Once these items are addressed ( and I see from previous reviews the staff and management are always happy to look into problems) the room would change from very good to excellent.

Room Tip: Family suite is a corner room (1213) with lovely views -couldnt see the bridge but the views from all windows of Nth Sydney were great.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite at the hotel and whilst it was a good size, and a decent location, it was just a bit on the tired side. The carpet was quite tired, and the biggest letdown was the bathroom which badly needed a refurb. The Air-Con unit was quite tired and noisy. The hotel has a really good potentional to be really good, but unfortunately like a few of the Rydges hotels, is in a bit of a need of some TLC. It's certainly clean, location is good and you'll get a comfortable nights sleep, but it's nothing fanastic.

The Restaurant downstairs was fanastic, excellent service and the food was very good, that was a real positive part of the experience there.

I note your concerns regarding Suites and bathrooms, as mentioned previously we are working on a mock-up bathroom hopefully we can roll out in the next 12 months. Until this happens the images of our current bathrooms on many websites including rydges.com are recent and accurate; I would encourage other readers to view if they are concerned.

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we needed to be close to the airport which was an easy drive there and back to hotel. The room was good had a view of Sydney .The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner in the restaurant there the food was excellent a good selection of wines . The breakfast was included in the room price and again the food was amazing, we have stayed at a few hotels but have never had such an amazing selection of breakfast choices . I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Thanks for the great review, I’m really pleased that the Hotel suited your needs and the staff were so friendly.

As you point out the Hotel is 15km or less than 20 minutes drive from the Airport (traffic permitting) so really a good option for Sydney. The surrounding area is also full of things to do like Taronga Zoo, Bridgeclimb, Harbour activities and Luna Park.

Also we appreciate the compliments on our restaurant, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts it’s an area we have been working especially hard to improve and great to see the results are appreciated.

We stayed here for one night on a very brief trip to Sydney. Check-in was easy and quick, as I'd made a prepaid reservation previously.

The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Not too much noise from other rooms.
Our early taxi order was perfectly timed, and check-out went just as easily as check-in.

We are getting ready to leave after staying here for 2 nights with our 18 month old daughter, and have thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff are great and have doted on us and our baby. Wherever we go its all smiles and offers of assistance. The room is on the 11th floor and has a fantastic view of both parks and harbour, stunning. Room is clean and well laid out. Value for money is great! We are visiting from the country and can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Well done staff and management at Rydges North Sydney!
