Photos don't do it justice, It's a must see. Not easy to find but well worth the effort. We got off at North Sydney station and walked for 10 minutes towards the harbour

“A haven, lovely plant colour coordination, stunning views”

This is a delightful spot, you can meander at leisure, steep but easily manageable. Hidden areas, lovely little "private" spots to sit and read, picnic, whatever.

“Picturesque picnic spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

A delightful garden with the most fantastic view. It was easy to find contrary to what I read on the Internet. We drove to Milton's point and got an hour parking spot just up the street, which gave us enough to stop & have our brunch picnic and then wander down to Luna Park along a pathway ,that was lined with little statues from Australian children's stories, such as the Magic Pudding, May Gibbs, Cuddle Pie gum nut babies and other various characters from her story book. I would surely , take a ferry from Circular Quay next time to McMahon's Point, have a coffee at the cafe under the bridge, perhaps a quick look in Cooney Island at Luna Park, a snooze in Wendy's Garden , or take out the sketch pad and then a spot of lunch at the Indian restaurant at the top of the garden path. Delightful!

“A well kept secret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

On a recent trip to Sydney a friend suggested we visit Wendy's Secret Garden. We took the train to Milson's Point, then had lunch at the Kirribilli Club overlooking the harbour. Wendy's garden is directly across the road from the Club and, in spite of horrendous weather the previous day, her team of helpers had re-surfaced the paths with fresh wood chips. This privately maintained garden is a delight, and freely open to the public. A few years ago Wendy decided to rehabiilitate an old railway dumping ground, right on the edge of Sydney Harbour at Lavender Bay, and adjacent to her own lovely home and garden. Steep paths have been carved into the rocks face, zigzagging down to the boardwalk below. After the rain everything was sparkling, fresh and clean, with lush subtropical plants, tree ferns and coloured foliage. Scattered through the garden are seats and some very original sculptures. From here it is only a short walk along the harbour to the Luna Park ferry stop.
