“Very friendly owners, unassuming and relaxed”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

Two couples stayed here for a friend's wedding. The owners were really friendly, no nonsense, and got us sorted quickly allowing us to relax on our little veranda in peace and quiet. Just very chilled out. The place was silent at night, and we slept really well. It is not a luxurious place, but it has everything you need - this is reflected in the reasonable nightly rate. Breakfast was the usual fry-up, and they had fresh coffee on tap to make yourself any time. We even got an extended check out time with no hassle. I'd definitely go back again.

Our stay at the Netherleigh B&B was an absolute pleasure. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, but left us to our own devices, offering excellent (yet non-intrusive) service. Breakfast was delicious, and we were advised that we could come and go as we please.
We stayed in the suite… The bed was super comfortable, with a memory foam mattress, and the bathroom was incredible…a powerful shower and a deep bath in a beautifully decorated room…perfect!
This kind of laid back but professional service is hard to come by, and for that reason we will be recommending Netherleigh B&B to all travelling near to Axminster. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Claire and Michael, Newcastle xx

When we booked this hotel we first looked at the trip advisor reviews... all good. We booked not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised by how great this place was. We had the top floor suite, you couldn't ask for better. Facilities and amenities were outstanding, (teas, real coffee, cereals any time, DVD/TV & selection of films, huge bath.. and so it goes on) the rooms were clean and very comfortable. We ate breakfast in out own lounge overlooking a magnificent view. The owners sere very friendly and know how to treat guests! Very nice people indeed and that made it perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone, we are seasoned travellers so it was great to see how the small hotels could out-do the larger chains. We would definitely stay again.

One unique feature is having a small information pack in the room that is actually useful

Room Tip: We only stayed in the upstairs suite, couldn't find fault! A travel tip is to book any taxis. ea...

Lovely welcome, great attention to detail, comfy bed, beautiful views, tasty breakfasts. Loved waking up to chickens clucking in the morning. Why must my review be 200 characters when I can say it with 8 - The best!

Good value, quite location in a beautiful country setting, close to Axminster and Lyme Regis. Large self contained unit, clean and tidy, well equipped with friendly service. Perfect for an over night or longer stay.

We stayed for 1 night in the Snug and the views from the private balcony were superb, the owners were friendly and made a great breakfast, better than the following 2 nights in Large hotels we experienced on the same trip.
Highly recommend it as a short stay location.

Room Tip: Snug is a bit small for a couple, ok for overnight if alll else booked.
