I stayed here after bunking in a traditional Torajan village for 4 nights & enduring the longest bus ride of my life. Herson, the owner of this hotel, was an amazing host-picking me up from the bus stop much later than expected (the bus was 2 hours late). He also accommodated for two German backpackers I met on the bus. We had a luxurious night on the lake in rooms with a view. Although it's off the beaten track by 5ks,the rooms included toilet paper, nice showers, comfy beds & are beautifully furnished. Herson obviously cares heaps about his business. He was extremely helpful with everything from greeting us with a beer to organising a driver to Ampana for us over a delicious breakfast. He also runs the orphanage next door. This value cannot be beat! My double bed room was only 300,000 & my comrades had a twin for 400,000 total(200 each + tax). We were sad not to be able to stay longer & enjoy Lake Poso. Whether you are staying in Tentena for 1 night or 5,backpacking or traveling luxury, this spot is not to be missed!
