“Friendly, welcoming, efficient and delicious”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Went for an early bird menu with wife, 10-year-old, and 10-month old. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. At first it looked like we would have to have the fixed-price three-course meal, which we didn't want because of worries of being too full. Our server was very kind in allowing us to mix and match with other menus.
As it happened, the starters on other tables looked tasty yet small enough not to fill you up, so we actually should have gone for that. However, the food we did get was fantastic - fish and chips, pan-grilled chicken and bangers and mash. All fresh, filling and gobbled down. Some more vegetables and more sauce on the chicken would have been the only niggles.
All in all, a lovely meal. Deserves its high ranking on TripAdviser.

“Very good meal.”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

We visited this restaurant looking for an early light supper, but they were geared up for serving evening meals. After conferring with the kitchen, the waitress returned and said we could order from the lunch menu. We ate delicious and creative wraps, enjoyed friendly banter with the staff, and went away happy and satisfied. I'd definitely recommend.

“excellent”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Had lunch here recently and could not fault it. The staff are helpful and friendly and service generally first class, Had the fish and chips which was as good as it gets. There is also an Early Bird menu which seems to be very good value. Atmosphere good, food good, and staff excellent. Fully recommended.

“Early bird Menu gr8 value & food delicious”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Went for Early Bird Menu 18.75 euro for 3 courses, 2 adults + 2 kids. Food scrumptious & friendly service.
Sat in front bar which is small & olde worlde, nice ambiance. Chicken & steak dishes yummy, home made chips really crispy, all plates licked. Orange + choc cheesecake very rich but ‘to die for’, the bread + butter pudding quite small serving. We asked at the start for only 2 courses as 3 would be wasted on kids as not big eaters, they agreed to reduce price but on paying they wanted to charge full price. However, they realised it was misunderstanding & did deduct price for starters.
One of best meals we had in Listowel & would highly recommend it. Starve yourself before-hand so u can really enjoy the full 3 courses which is excellent value at 18.75!
