“Always a magical place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We had been here in 2011, and now we wonder why we waited three years to come back. Annette runs a magnificent establishment where everything is of the utmost quality and nothing is too much trouble. My wife is a cleanliness fanatic, and even she was impressed by the standards. And you've never had a breakfast until you've experienced the output from Annette's kitchen. A good tip is not to have eaten a large dinner the night before! And you certainly won't need lunch...As for the location, if scenery and tranquillity are your thing, then look no further. And the buzz of Dingle is just down the road. And if you like the odd round of golf, Castlegregory is a hidden gem.

Room Tip: Ask for room 3. Upper level, great view of the sea, and a small balcony.

During our two week tour around Ireland, we stayed at a different hotel or B&B nearly every night. This was by far the best of the best. The location is great for exploring the Dingle Peninsula. The view of the sound is very good and the service is first class, friendly and knowledgeable. We even had dessert, (small pastries), served at breakfast! We would love to come back sometime and spend a week.
One note: you do not have to take Conor Pass to get back from Dingle. It’s worth it for the views, but when coming back in the late afternoon, we took N86 to R560. which is longer, but you can drive faster, so takes the same amount of time. It’s more relaxing if you are not used to narrow mountain roads.

We spent a couple of nights at this elegantly furnished B&B with a lovely beach view. We stayed in a ground floor room left of the entry door. Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Many thanks to Annette and her staff for their friendly hospitality.

Annette runs a wonderful B&B. The view of the ocean was brilliant. Everything was spotlessly clean. She is warm and attentive. The breakfast was simply outstanding and tailored to your personal preference each day. The room and bed was very comfortable. Even the internet worked well.

The location is on the north side of the Dingle Peninsula which is very quite. It is a short drive to Dingle for a great meal and an even shorter one to Castlegregory for another great meal. Ask for recommendations: they will all be excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

Annette, her staff and her wonderful home are all amazing.
We have just returned from a 3 night stay and I can't thank Annette enough for her hospitality. This is a 1st class truly 5 star B&B and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from it all for a few days and to be totally spoilt.
The breakfasts are magnificent - so much choice and so much! All home made and cooked fresh to order. The rooms are delightful, beautifully furnished and presented, and so spotlessly clean. All with amazing views of the beach and across the bay.
You just feel so welcome here, we can't wait to go back, thank you so much for making this a perfect get away from the rat-race, look forward to returning soon.

Annette has created an absolutely elegant, yet comfortable (3 day)stay for us, giving us wonderful recommendations for things to do/where to go, and how to do it in the best way. She recommended a magical evening at a nearby hostel where the the locals gather to share their love of Irish music. One of the highlights of our trip.
We loved our stay here and appreciated the beautiful rooms, the delicious breakfasts, and the friendly chat. Hated to leave.

Myself, my husband and 3 children had reason to visit Castlegregory for a family get together recently and stayed for one night with Annette at the Shores. We had a lovely family room. The welcome and service were all excellent, and the breakfast the following morning was as good as any 5 star hotel. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We will be back!
