Description: No. 35 is a family-run, characterful and confident local dining room. We cook with the best of what's around us, using ingredients in season. On our farm, just a mile up the road, we breed our own pedigree rare breed Saddleback pigs for the delicious free-range pork we serve at No. 35. Open for lunch and dinner

On our recent trip to Ireland we were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation at No 35. Tripadvisor reviews brought us to this excellent restaurant. The room is very small but cozy on the main floor, where we sat, but they have more seating upstairs. It was early so only 1 other table was occupied, upstairs was full reservations yet to arrive.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had a nice cider, Stonewell Organic and ordered the fish and chips. Could be one of the best fish and chip meals I've had!
My husband had the duck for dinner which he enjoyed.
To finish Irish Coffees....which were excellent and started us drinking them while on our trip!
We were never rushed even though others kept coming in without reservations for a table.
However, recommend making a reservation so you won't be disappointed.
Prices are average for this type of restaurant. Worth a visit.

No 35 is a great choice for relaxed dining. There are many places to eat in Kenmare but few places to dine. No 35 is really a restaurant for dining and not a bar that serves food.
We were a party of four and all of our choices were good. Two of our group had pasta and the only thing that kept this review from being five stars was the fact that both dishes were slightly overcooked. The sauces were delicious and the pasta was good but over cooked.
I had a pizza with the smoked pork loin and black pudding with a local cheese and it was excellent and perfectly prepared. they also have a few craft beers that are well worth a try.

This is a small restaurant with maybe 10 tables with interior stone walls. Very romantic. All 4 of us had something different (pasta dish, Moroccan lamb stew, cod, and salmon salad) and all were excellent. Probably the best value in town as the prices were very reasonable. I'd suggest making a reservation to make sure you get a table.

We were staying at Sheen Falls who recommended No35 to us and what a great suggestion. - thanks Clodagh

The welcome was warm and friendly, we were handed menus and some delicious home made popcorn while we browsed it.

We sampled one of the specials as a Starter - the Boxty with a sausage and black pudding cassoulet which was outstanding, my vegetarian companion had the soup to start which was excellent, and the two carnivores had the platter which was as far removed from a traditional pub platter as humanly possible, highlights included the chicken wings and the black pudding - it set the pace for the mains

These were also excellent - I chose the Catch of the Day which was the most superb Sea Bass, we also loved the Baked Cod in a herb crust, and from the pasta choices the Seafood Spaghetti - massive chunks of salmon and prawns in a delicious sauce with spaghetti served perfectly al dente, and the vegetarian pasta which was equally impressive.

There was a great selection of desserts that looks awesome - but we were full and an impressive competitively priced wine list which had some nice choices as well as Craft beers

Service was warm and friendly but big intrusive and we were delighted with our choice - I would thoroughly recommend No 35 which is without doubt one if Kenmare's hidden secrets
