My boyfriend and i spent the June bank holiday weekend in Kenmare, we came across this restaurant by pure fluke and decided to make a booking for the Saturday night. We popped into the restaurant on the Saturday afternoon and Mike took our booking, we specifically requested one table in particular in a corner and beside the window but with such short notice and being a bank holiday Saturday there was a slim chance we would be able to have it .
On our return that evening, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our requested table was waiting for us. My boyfriend and i received such a warm welcome on arrival as we were seated. Not only is the restaurant beautifully decorated with soft lightening but the food is absolutely delicious, very well presented with alot of attention to detail. The staff are extremely pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. Mike, who was busy cooking away in the kitchens also paid a brief visit to each table to see if eveything was ok, a perfect touch and such a lovely person!
Our overall dinning experience was so good that we decided to return for dinner on the Sunday evening also. We would recommend the chowder, fish cakes, prawn cocktail for starter, steak, seabass and chicken for mains and crepes are a definite for dessert.
Loved it and looking forward to our next visit.
