“Family Luncheon”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

My Family and I had lunch here and everything was superb, my elderly parents ( which are sometimes hard to please food wise ) were delighted with everything - plain eaters and were given everything just as they ordered with most food items on the side! And the same goes for the kids, they were entertained while waiting for the food ( which by the way was very prompt )by colouring book and pencils. I myself could not fault anything. Already looking forward to our next visit.

“Smashing place, great food, great service”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Dropped in here for lunch during a recent stay in Kenmare. Very busy place but they were most accommodating to our family. Excellent food, the roast fillet of cod was outstanding, Thumbs up from our kids for the free range sausages and mash. The crab fritters I had for starter also deserve a special mention. Really recommend this place as a stop off if on the ring of Kerry route. Delightful staff who were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Highly recommend. We will be back.

“Nice food, bad service”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

My husband and I visited here for Sunday lunch and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences of our trip. We had to wait at the bar over 20 mins for a table which we didn't mind as it was busy. When we saw table free for about 10 mins we had to approach a staff member and ask if we could sit there, she petty much snapped at us and said, "if you want". We were under the impression you wait to be seated as their sign says. Our soup took well over 20 mins to arrive and we also had a long wait between our starters and mains. Now we weren't in any kind of hurry & were happy to relax but the waiting time seemed a bit ridiculous. At no point did any of the staff apologise for the extremely slow service or ask us how our food was when clearing our table. The food was nice enough my husband had roast beef & I had a starter vol u vent. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired.

“Just off the Ring Of Kerry”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

Happened to stop into Casey's by chance when in Kenmare, there was no parking on the town and the Kenmare Bay Hotel was packed out due to a wedding taking place.
On arrival the bar was warm and clean, however it was quite noisy due to two large groups being sat in such a small place.
The menu at the front door didnt match the menu we were provided. We has hoped to order the fish pie but this was not available. We ordered one starter and two mains and were positively stuffed to the gills by the time we finished. With drinks, the tab came to just over €30 which wasn't bad considering the feed we got.
It's evident that the food is cooked to order and is very fresh.

Our compliments to the chef.

“Great Staff, Small Portions”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

The staff were excellent, very friendly & accommodating. Food portions were tiny for the price. Less than half breast of chicken in stir fry for €18.95. If they are charging these prices, I expect more on the plate. Times have changed & they need to remember that the prices need to be attractive to returning customers & not just inflated for tourists.
