“Friendly & Cosy Hotel”

Stayed here 2 nights in mid July. Met by very friendly and helpful reception staff. We had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking car park. The room and bathroom were very clean. Basic decor, beds were very comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities and toiletries in bathroom. When we were there, Ireland was going through a heatwave of 30 degree temperatures, this made the room very warm as they had no air conditioning. Leaving the window open meant an unsettled nights sleep. Mind you heatwaves in Ireland are a rarity so the lack of air conditioning shouldn't be a problem. We had a beautiful breakfast with a good choice of food. I would certainly stay here again and it was reasonably priced. Kenmare is a great lively town.

Stayed three nights in Kenmare and couldn't have been happier with the Lansdowne. . Great location, premium bed, helpful staff, good breakfast and easy parking. Wifi in the lobby only. Laundromat across the street which was a much needed bonus. An old hotel which has been tastefully restored. Kenmare is on the Ring of Kerry and preferable to Killarney in my view.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a new bed

Very well maintained historical hotel. Perfect location, great price, extremely helpful and caring employees. Good parking, beautiful city. Lovely breakfast was included. It was cooked to order plus buffet items. We drove at a leisurely pace from Shannon and it was the perfect stop. I highly recommend Kenmare and the Lansdowne!

I can't think of anything to say other than this was a very nice hotel. The beds were comfy, there was an excellent breakfast included and it is right in the c enter of town. The lady at reception was very nice and helpful. It was an easy stay.

I only stayed in the Lansdowne Arms Hotel for one night, and the location makes it a great springboard for driving the Ring of Kerry (we drove the entire ring and ended up in Dingle Town in time for happy hour). However, the stay itself was largely mediocre. My husband and I were placed in a ground-floor room, with plenty of street noise and people walking by the windows. I haven't stayed on the ground floor in a downtown area for a long time, so this was a bit unsettling. However, the street noise quieted down after dinner time. The room was large and bathroom was great. The WiFi was terrible and only worked periodically in the lobby. The breakfast was very nice and the staff was welcoming. Overall, a perfectly fine stay, but I'm not sure I'd want an extended visit there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above ground level, as street noise and people walking by windows can be a problem.

for mains we got a steak baguette with peppercorn sauce, mushrooms and onions it was GORGEOUS, we loved it! also got fresh hot chips which were very tasty

we also got the smoked burger with cheese and bacon and it was extremely tasty the beef was outstandng and i'm not a big beef lover!

We staying in this hotel with our tour group for a week. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in all instances. When our room seemed too cool, they brought a outside heat source. When we had the flu, they brought buckets, sheets, anything a Mom would have done to make us at home. If we had a question of where to find something in town, they were also very knowledgeable. The food at the attached restaurant was scrumptious and highly recommended. The morning wake-up calls with an Irish lilt were enjoyed, too!
