This place is tucked away down a long single track lane just a few miles outside Kenmare. The staff in the office are very friendly and knowledgeable on the various routes and can advise you on the most appropriate one for your level of fitness or time available. The walks are well signposted and some are rough terrain, (don't do as I did and turn up in sandals, good boots or sturdy trainers are a must) Some of the stiles are a bit rickety and if you are taking a heavy dog with you, you will have to lift them over the fence a few times. The scenery is totally, utterly breathtaking. Food and drink at the cafe is good quality and cheap. This is so worth the money if you like walking mountains and lakes, I highly recommend it to all nature and landscape lovers.

This area takes a little bit of travel down small roads but very well worth the trip. There is option of trails for all skill levels and the scenery is so beautiful. I would highly recommend you taking the time to see this little bit of heaven on earth.

You can do as much or as little as you like here. We took a short hike and saw other people setting out for much longer hikes. The owner recently died and the family doesn't know yet whether they will keep it open. I really hope it will stay open because it will be a great loss if it doesn't.

It is very beautiful and peaceful, there are different trails that will take you to the waterfall varying from 5min trail to a few hours depending on which route you take
Make sure you have cash for the entrance they do not accept cards

Well worth the trip in the long narrow road. Brought a six year old and 14year old. We were guided to walks that were appropriate for the family. We had a picnis by the water fall. Definately a hidden gem.
