Our stay at Tara Farm was great. We had a beautiful second floor room with a balcony and great views. WiFi was not great in our room but worked well in the breakfast dining room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great location and lots to see and do in the area. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend this B&B.

This was a lovely B 'n B with a fabulous view of cow pastures and Kenmare Bay beyond our ground floor patio doors. We had a very nice size room, though the bathroom was very small. Soap for the shower was not provided, so make sure you have your own.

There was plenty of choices for a hot breakfast, and two wonderful cheeses were on offer. Very little in the way of fresh fruit was available.

Free Wi-Fi was available, but you could only get it in the lounge.

Beautiful bucolic location, convenient to town as well as for driving the Ring Of Kerry.

Room Tip: It was nice having a ground floor room for a change and not have to carry our small cases upstairs...

We spent a night at Tara Farm -- excellent accommodation and great breakfast. The house is only 10-15 minutes walk away from the town. Our room had a stunning view over the mountains and the sea. Kinmare is a lovely little town with loads of nice restaurants, and quaint shops. Excellent atmosphere - we really enjoyed our short stay.
(Very good internet connection with free wifi.)

Room Tip: I only saw our room -- it was the one at the top, and the view out of the wide French windows was gr...

We stayed at this B & B for two nights, June 24th & 25th, 2013. Our room was large and immaculate with a beautiful view out the back of the house overlooking Kenmare Bay. The first evening we took a 20 minute walk into the centre of the quaint town of Kenmare for a wonderful meal at the Coachman Hotel Pub accompanied by some live Irish music. The location of this B & B is ideal since it is a short drive to Kilarney National Park, and the ideal beginning point for driving about the Ring of Kerry.

We never got to meet Anne, the elderly proprietor of the B & B, because she was ill, having suffered a stroke a few weeks before our arrival. Her daughter took over, and did a fine job looking after us during our stay. Unfortunately, during the 2nd night of our stay the hydro in the area went out, and when we woke up without electricity there was no water and breakfast could not be prepared. However, my wife and I were graciously presented with 10 euro each in order to go out for breakfast.

I must emphasize that the one breakfast we were able to eat at this B & B was delicious, and the location where we ate again provided a beautiful view towards Kenmare Bay.

This was a very clean B & B with excellent facilities., If we are able to return to Ireland in the near future, we will certainly make it a point to stay a couple more evenings at Tara Farms.

We remembered well our stay at Tara Farm some years ago. Now we brought our sister with us and it was no problem for Ann to make the reservation for 3. Both rooms had an excellent view, an admirable furniture and the best standard of comfort. We - all 3 over 70 - never slept better. A warm welcome, great breakfasts, good parking, and some unexpected space in the rooms made us feeling - we have to come back. In the evenings we had our dinner at the terrace in the quiet landscape -surrounded only by the mountains and the sea and visited by cows down in the fields of the farm. Nevertheless an evening walk to Kenmare for a last drink brought us back to the touristic live of this lovely town. We had only 3 days but we promise, we will take more time at our next visit to Tara Farm.

We stayed here for three nights and, although our reservation was four nights (there was a double booking apparently), we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our hostess, Anne, was delightful and she DID offer alternate accommodations nearby for our fourth night. The breakfasts were wonderful, the accommodations were clean and very comfortable, private parking was plentiful and the VIEW was outstanding. It truly was a 10 minute walk down a small road into the town.

Spectacular views of the Beara Penninsula and the waters of Kenmare await those who are called to stay with Ann and her beautiful family. The rooms are spacious, comfy beds, tasteful furnishings and a hearty breakfast. The day we went to Skellig Michael we were offered an early breakfast outside of normal serving times. This is a house that has laughter and joy in it. I lead small group pilgrimages and have stayed in many places in the 50 plus journeys that I have offered since 1999 and Tara Farm is up there with the best of them. I will come here again and again. All the pilgrims gave Tara Farm two big thumbs up. Great access for walking into Kenmare as well. Thank you Ann.
