First class all the way. Superb quiet location just outside the village of Kenmare. You'll have an astounding range of choices for breakfast. Everything delicious and freshly prepared. Marian and David are very friendly and helpful hosts. (Rollo, their lovable dog, greeted us as we parked.) If you walk with assistance, note there are a few steps into the house, but ground floor rooms are available and very comfortable. Possibly the best-designed bathroom we had on the entire trip. Next visit we'd stay a week and make this our base for exploring.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground-floor room if stairs are an issue.

This was one of several places we stayed while in Ireland. The house was beautiful, the room was comfortable, and David and Marion were very welcoming and friendly (and great cooks!)! Kenmare was a wonderful place to walk around and, as usual for Ireland, the locals were quite pleasant! We hope to go back someday! I'm very late in writing this, so the choice of dates didn't go back far enough We actually went May 2013.

Room Tip: I can't imagine any of the rooms being a bad choice.

David and Marion are fabulous hosts. The room was enormous, the bathtub was big enough to do laps, and the bed was so amazing we're planning to buy one for our guestroom.

This is a beautiful home in an awesome location. The town of Kenmare is only a 5 minute walk from the house and the people are really friendly. Foley's Pub has wonderful mussels, BTW. I would definitely here again.

Room Tip: Room#8 is enormous.

We loved our stay with David and Marian. We were fortunate to sleep on their new king mattress which was heavenly and I believe they also had just gotten new power shower's which were also great! The view was really lovely and the location is PERFECT. As my husband and I were talking about our 3 1/2 week trip, we decided to try and chose the best bed and breakfast and Rockcrest won! This is a wonderful home with clean, bright, beautiful rooms and the breakfast was wonderful. What made it really the best (after the shower, bed and breakfast) was the location. Some bed and breakfasts state that they are walking distance to town but they aren't, but Rockcrest IS! It is a 5 minute walk, down from their driveway, across a small bridge and you are in town. Yet, you are out of the noise of a town and you can sleep with your windows open and it is so quiet. If you are staying in Kenmare, stay here....you will love it!

We toured Ireland with good friends, spending two nights with David & Marian. We arrived late the first evening, Marian greeted us at the door with a smile on her face, showed us to our rooms, asked if we needed suggestions for a good pub, asked what we were planning the next day, arranged breakfast time and told us she would give us travel advice in the morning. We felt as though we had been greeted by a good friend. The rooms are spotless, beautifully furnished, beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom was larger than the other B & B's we stayed in during our trip. Our room was large and had a perfect view of downtown Kenmare and the mountains behind. The B & B sits on a hill with perfect landscaping all around. The breakfast room is open and bright. Marian & David once again greeted us as though we were dear friends. We were given so many choices for breakfast that it was difficult to choose. Everything was made to order, the breads and jams are homemade and yummy. You do not go away hungry! As promised travel advice was given for the Ring of Kerry which the start is 10 to 15 minutes drive from the B & B. They also suggested we tour the Ring of Beara if we had time the following day. When we returned from our day of exploring the Ring of Kerry David assisted us in finding a fantastic Pub in Kenmare. We wanted to listen to authentic Irish music but most Pubs start the music late (for us) and we had been unable to this point find the music. David called Coachman's, reserved us a table so we could enjoy the accordion music of Michael O'Brien while we ate dinner. The entertainment was first rate and the food wonderful. The Pub was a short five minute walk from the B & B. If you are planning a vacation to Ireland and will be touring the Rings this is the perfect place to stay! David & Marian are a true Irish treasure!!

Wonderful home with bright and beautiful rooms. The town of Kenmare was within walking distance and full of pubs, music, and great food. The owners were very helpful in recommending top spots to visit, and the food at their B&B was delicious. Would definitely stay again and would certainly recommend to others.

This was awonderful B&B. Mary and Dave were the perfect hosts. House was spotless, breakfasts were personal and cooked to order. they knew where to send up for other meals and provided directions, suggestions for the day trip etc.

Would go back should I ever have the opportunity.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice.
