So how wonderful is this? We arrive at Whispering Pines to be greeted by Mary, who becomes our instant friend. When we inquire about celiac-friendly restaurants, she immediately gets on the phone to her connection at the town's finest restaurant, Packie's, to make sure it will accommodate us, and she makes a reservation. Turns out the place was packed, so getting that reservation would not have been possible without Mary. Meanwhile, Mary's daughter Kathleen walks into town to a fantastic bakery that makes gluten-free wonders to get a loaf of bread to be ready for the next day's breakfast. And as we left the next day, Mary and Kathleen gave us the rest of the bread.

Mary and Kathleen are two of the friendliest and warmest people we met on our trip, and we cherish the fact that we got to know them a bit. You cannot go wrong staying with these wonderful people in their charming Irish town.

we arrived without reservations at the end of a long drive.Mary proudly showed the wonderful room that looked out to green pasture and frollicking Irish pony. After tea and dessert we napped until the short walk to local pubs. Our kids stayed back at the B&B as they had made fast friends with Mary's grandkids,Emma and Kate.Breakfast the next day was served by Kathleen ,Marys daughter who was so attentive we thought that we were at a 5 star hotel. The Whispering Pines-Fitzgerald Family was one of the highlights of our Irish vacation.Leaving was bitter sweet.

A beautifully kept B & B. Mary, Kathleen and Kate are lovely and welcoming, 3 generations of a fantastic family. Rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is scrumptious. Quiet, beautiful and only a short walk into town. Highly recommend you visit.

Stay at Whispering Pines, and Mary will make you feel right at home. Short walking distance into town with easy access to roads leading to Ring of Kerry.
Our room had a unique access to the en suite facilities; it was built into a wardrobe!
Enough parking space in the back with a very large lawn.
Breakfast is good and comes pipping hot to the tables!

We were not sure how to get to Whispering Pines, after being given directions Mary and her beautiful grandaughters were standing on the road to greet us. The kidness and warmth of the family was immediately apparent. We were given a cup of tea and home made baking once we had settled in. They provided us with information on local sights.
The rooms were large and immaculate. Breakfast was fantastic and I went home with the recipe for Marys bread. Stayed one night and it was our best stay in Ireland.

We loved this place and stayed a second night because it was so great. The breakfast choices were superb in an elegant but comfortable setting. Helped us find our way around town, great advice on the area and even helped set us up with our next B and B. Tea time was also fantastic, even made a special gluten free choice available. Kind folks.

Room Tip: Very clean
