Owner description: A tour of the artifacts left behind by early Christian and ancient civilizations on the Dingle Peninsula.

we've enjoyed seeing this tour highlighted by Rick Steves and our friends have strongly recommended it, and we can see why. Tim Collins is so well-informed about everything from the ancient history to the flora and fauna, the film set and the local gossip, and shares it all in a pleasant and tasteful manner. He is a gentleman but with a twinkle in his eye and a quietly keen sense of humor. This tour makes the visit to this magical peninsula all the more special. Very well worth the cost and time.

This was a wonderful way to both experience the peninsula and learn some very interesting history. Our guide was never boring and I learned a lot along the way. The archaeology sites were amazing. To think they have survived so long. Highly recommend this tour.

Tim picked us up at our B&B at 10:30, gave us a great look at the Slea Head Loop with an emphasis on the history of each site. The van was comfortable and it was easy to hear. Tim answered questions and went in to enough detail to satisfy the most curious, but did not bore the casual tourist with too much information. He dropped us off at 1:30 leaving plenty of time for us to go back and explore in more detail. Highly recommended!

To be honest, we aren't fans of organized tours, but we needed a break from driving. We were staying at the Greenmount House (highly recommended), and asked if they could arrange a tour for us. It was last minute, so I wasn't sure if it would happen or how good it would be. We were promptly picked up at our hotel, then proceeded to pick up a few more passengers (maybe a total of 12). We were pleased that it was a smaller group, and we felt safe with Tom's driving skills. Tom is very down to earth and knowledgeable about the area. We also learned that he works at the Distillery, and conducts tours there as well. We also thought the cost of 20 Euros was fairly reasonable.

We were lucky enough to be staying with Eileen and Tom Collins at the Kirrary B&B in Dingle. We found out that Tom also does tours of the area and we went ahead and took it and LOVED IT. He is so hospitable and gives a great tour of the area. He makes sure to stop at all the best places and gives plenty of time for pictures. The tour is not rushed and it a great value. Even if you are not staying the night in Dingle I would make sure to plan a couple of hours to take this tour. The van is super comfortable and roomy.
