This hotel has it all; location, food and facilities. The food alone more than makes up for the slightly dated bedroom we had (not complaining). The staff are the friendliest and most helpful you'll ever meet, the greatest breakfast selection you will ever see anywhere and bar and restaurant food excellent also. I love it.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with my wife and two children. The kids are a year and a half and 2 and a half years old. We were given a room perfectly suited to our needs.

The room:
The room itself was spotlessly clean and was large and spacious there were two cots set up for us and a small pull out bed in case the older child needed it....she did and was delighted with her own 'big bed'. I asked for an extra quilt for the little guys cot and within minutes I had two fresh and clean quilts for him. The bed was very comfortable and a good size. We slept very well in it. The room was kept at an ideal temperature all the time providing us with a comfortabloe environment for sleep. The bathroom was very very clean and tidy the tiles and sink and bath were absolutely shining the bathroom must have been cleaned and cleaned again.

The Staff:
I cannot praise the staff enough. At all times they were friendly and courteous. They were very kind to the kids taking time to say hello and smile at them before offering them a few colouring pencils and paper. They were fantastic when serving them and arranging for the 'special orders' that come when you deal with kids and what they do and dont like. The staff remembered the kids names and never passed without a hello for them. I've never been anywhere better. The staff were excellent throughout. I noticed a wide range of people staying here from couples looking for a quiet few days away to a large group getting ready for a wedding to families like mine staff treated everyone the same. I was well impressed.

The setting:
On approach the hotel looks older...probably because it is and is a product of the architecture of its time however it is well kept and has definitely been updated over time. Inside is modern and fresh there are too many places to list when it comes to sitting and relaxing from the foyer to the bar to the lounges. This may not sound special but there are some great views from this hotel which compliment the areas available for relaxing with a book or the paper.

Faciltites:
We stayed out of season so some of the failities were not available. There is a creche but it is only on season we didn't visit the spa...not with two kids!! there is a pool/leisure center. There is a kids pool as well and our two loved it it was a great way to spend an afternoon with them. The bar and the bistro are well laid out and serve very good food. The breakfast buffet was outstanding there was everything you could want serving all tastes from the Full Irish to cereals to fruit to continental.....nothing is missing from the breakfast buffet!!! There is a restaurant called the coastguard it looked nice but we didn't eat there prefering to use the bar or bistro with the kids. Judging by the food elsewhere in the hotel it has to be good.

Location:
Its in Dingle in terms of friendly welcoming people it doesn't come much better and the same goes for the scenery...its stunning. The main town is only minutes from the hotel you could easily walk there. Dingle has plenty of bars and restauraunts to accomodate a family.

Over all we had a fantastic time at this hotel. It was perfect for a break with the kids and is also the type of place we will definitely go to WITHOUT the kids. We will be back to this hotel again.... of that there is no doubt!!!
Brilliant hotel. Brilliant staff. Brilliant spot.

We were expecting more of this hotel. It has a great location by the sea and we were hoping to have the room with the sea view, instead we stayed in a depressing brown room with view to the muddy ground, brown again.
During the night it was terribly hot - had to sleap with the open window.
The swimming pool was nice but the level of chlorine in the water was higher than normal. After 2-3 minutes spent in jacuzzi I found that it was difficult to breathe there even though my housband was feeling normal.
The breakfast was fabulous, the best buffet I have ever had, finally looking at the beautiful sea front.

I stayed in this hotel with my husband and two year old son
The hotel was really nice staff couldn't do enough so child friendly loads of facilities for children. The rooms aren't the most modern but still very comfortable the hotel and staff ensure that everyone gets a break
The breakfast was the best on offer in any hotel we also had a lovely dinner in the bar
Looking forward to returning in the summer

We booked 5 rooms in 3 bookings for a party of 7 adults and 2 children. We felt the hotel offered good value for money on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. While part of the hotel building looks older from the outside, it has clearly been refurbished throughout and the standard of the old and new parts of the building is excellent.

There were only one or two minor issues during our stay which staff delay with perfectly as soon as they were informed.

We used the bar facilities, room, restaurant, public areas and pool.
