A modern guesthouse on the edge of town (walkable...if it's not raining!). Immaculate rooms and an incredible spread of homemade Irish food for breakfast. It feels a bit more like a hotel than the other, more homey, B&Bs we stayed at, and the owner only reluctantly dried our drenched clothes for us when we found the town's laundry service to be backed up for a week, but I still recommend it highly. (Note: Do NOT miss Murphy's Ice Cream in town...try the honeycomb ice cream. You'll never be the same!)

Fresh decor, harbor views, just about the warmest family trio you'll ever meet, and then there's porridge, Heaton style: with a topping of Drambuie and brown sugar that owner Cameron says will "lift you up." Heaton's is a perfect guesthouse experience... spectacular service, wonderful Irish (full) breakfast), comfortable rooms. When we asked for a referral for local kayaking, the Heatons suggested Noel at Irish Adventures, and proceded to fix us up for dinner at the Global Village and Chart House. Every recommendation they made was bang on. I'd go back in a skinny minute and recommend it highly. Ask for upstairs corner room closest to town if you can get it - it has a small deck and loads of gorgeous views.

We just left Dingle and loved Heaton's Guesthouse. Cameron and Noula were delightful hosts and they clearing work very hard to deliver a varied and delicious breakfast. The room was fantastic as was the shower. It was one of the few places we stayed where the internet connection was good and they had a computer available for those who didn't bring one. They had great suggestions for touring and dining and were spot on with their recommendations. We had to leave the last day at the crack of dawn so we missed breakfast. Noula kindly made us a snack for the road....as it turned out she gave us both breakfast and lunch for the road. I would highly recommend this guesthouse. Thanks to the Heaton's for a lovely stay.

We have just spent 2nights at Heatons Guest House in Dingle and feel the wider world should be aware of the gem we have discovered . The standards are awesome - from the hearty welcome to the exquisite accommodation only surpassed by breakfast which is fit for kings and queens. You must have the fresh fish - to die for - and one should try the porridge with drambuie. The selection of fresh fruit and range of home cooked fresh breads mean that breakfast is a feast .
All of this in the most scenic part of Ireland - West Kerry - and the Guest House is located by the sea with panoramic views of Dingle Bay.
The standards enjoyed at Heatons are truly exceptional and also consistent - this is our second visit and hopefully many more to follow. We prefer Heatons to 5star hotel accommodation.

I booked Heatons on the recommendations of the trip advisor reviews and it more than earned all the accolades. It is located just outside Dingle, but only a quick 5 minutes walk and has the great advantage of being quiet and peaceful, especially on the weekends. The guesthouse overlooks the beautiful Dingle Bay and a room facing the front is a must! We stayed with our 2 teenage children, who loved the fantastic bathrooms and flat screen tvs. I had also chosen the guesthouse on the basis that there was a well lit carpark infront and so our much loved dog, who slept in our car, could be under my watchful eye- much to the amusement of the Heaton family! They also recommended the best end of Ventry Strand for dogs and provided "doggy bags" of leftovers for the hound after breakfast! The breakfasts were stunningly good. The best we have ever eaten and the kippers and fresh fish must have special mention. We loved our stay and will definately return for more of the Heaton magic.

We chose to stay at Heaton's on the strength of the reviews on TA and we were not disappointed! Easy to find on the main road but in a quiet location just out of town, it has a nice view of the bay. It looks like a large family home, with a pleasant reception/lounge area as you go in. The room was not huge but had a nice view out to the bay, a comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom. It was well equipped with all the usuals, making good use of space by having a flatscreen wall mounted tv. Not the biggest choice of channels, but you don't go on holiday to watch tv!
Heaton's is situated a 5-10mins walk into town so ideally located away from the main area - but just far enough to walk off some of the effects of dinner and Guiness!
Speaking of food.....the breakfast! Where do I start? We needed to stay more than our 3nights to try the whole breakfast menu. A fabulous buffet selection of fruits, meats and cheeses, cereals, freshly baked bread and scones....and then there's the hot menu.....excellent irish breakfast, omlettes and pancakes, the list goes on! We didn't even get around to trying the fish or porridge but I'm sure they were to an equally high standard.
Cameron, Nuala and their staff go the extra mile to ensure all their guests have a great stay offering information about the area and ideas of where to go and where to eat. I didn't get the name of the waitress at breakfast but we both learnt what was in white pudding one day - actually quite nice ingredients despite its reputation!
Note to Cameron if he should read this - we'd have been happy to do our bit for the environment and keep the same towels for our 3night stay instead of fresh ones every day.
A really great place to stay, hope we get chance to go back one day!
