A fun little B&B right on the street in the heart of Dingle. We had the top floor which was very quaint, but that didn't keep the noise out, we would go back but likely ask for a room off the street.

This review is long over due. I had the pleasure of staying at Doyle's during the August Bank Holiday weekend. Myself and my friend were greated upon arrival, escorted to our room and given the ins and out's of Dingle. It was our first trip to Dingle and found this information very helpful. We decided to have dinner our first night in the Seafood Restaurant. It was wonderful. The fish was a fresh as could be, and prepared with the greatest of flavors.

This is a family run operation and you feel very much like a guest of the family when you are staying there. Now that I remember they made everyone feel welcome regardless if you were staying there or not. Don't be dissapointed and make your reservations in advance.

I work in the industry, and at times I feel we can be the most critical when we are on holiday. I cannot find falt with Doyle's as they truly demonstrate hospitality at it's finest.

Doyle's is a nice B&B with a nice staff and good breakfast. However, its location makes rooms in the front prone to street noise and noise from passers by and rooms in the back get noise from the bar next door. Don't plan on a good nights sleep and you will be okay.

We stayed at Doyles Town House for 2 nights. I had only seen the website before we got there and had liked the look of it. We liked it very much when we saw it for real. It is probably not decorated to everyone's taste as it is kept rather 'Victorian' in style, but we loved that. The 'parlor' is very cosy, although we never had time to sit in it, just walked through it on our way in and out. The room was very large and yet cosy also, we had number 6 which is one shown on the website.

Breakfast is earlyish but we were up and about wanting to get on with our holiday so it didn't matter; if you want a late lie in don't come to Doyles, not if you want breakfast as well! Only negative about breakfast was there was no fresh fruit on offer, just tinned grapefruit.

We tried the fish restaurant but the food was not to my liking, it was all too over the top for me. I chose salmon because it looked like the plainest thing on the menu but it had been marinated in something quite strong and it spoilt if for me. The starter was a huge mound of rocket, heavily dressed, with a bit of pork and 3 small crab claws - the salad had not been mentioned in the description, it was not worth the price.

On the whole this is a comfy, cosy, interesting B&B and we would go back.

We stayed in one of the Doyles apartments during the Dingle Regatta, this weekend. They're a couple of minutes walk up the hill from the restaurant and townhouse and are very cute. There's a living room downstairs with tv and tea & coffee making facilities. As we were on a B&B rather than a self catering basis, the kitchen door was locked for the duration! The bedroom is upstairs and open plan. The beds are wrought iron and were very comfortable. There's an iron/trouser press combo but we had to move one of the rather cumbersome beds in order to put the ironing board up. Duh! Bathroom, also upstairs, was spotless. We ate in their restaurant on the first night. Food was o.k.; tables are too close together so there was no chance of having a private conversation. (On Saturday night we ate in The Chart House - fantastic, as always). Breakfast finishes at 9.30 a.m. which is miles too early for us at a weekend so we skipped it. On both mornings, just before 9.30, we got a call from the guesthouse enquiring as to whether we were going down for brekkie or not. It must have been perfectly obvious on both occasions that she woke me up. No apologies just a surprised "no breakfast??!" I can see the headlines now: "guests of Doyles dont do breakfast in Dingle". On checking out, she said to us "oh, yes, you're the people who missed everything". Chances are, it was her (French???) sense of humour but, as it was her first time laying eyes on us, we thought it was a tad cheeky and really none of her business. Otherwise, the craic was mighty in Dingle.
