The Greenmount house is a must for anyone staying in Dingle! The courteous and welcoming staff make you feel at home right away, and the beautiful scenic view from the breakfast room is incredible. The room we stayed in had three beds, floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light, and complimentary chocolates that were placed on our pillows every night. We did have a minor problem with the shower, but John and Gary got a plumber to help us as soon as possible.

There are 3 living rooms with plush decor and comfy couches that you're allowed, even encouraged, to use. There are also some tables outside so you can enjoy your breakfast while looking down at the streets of Dingle. It's somewhat out of town, so instead of hearing cars honking, you can hear sheep baaing. However, it's only a 5 minute walk from the center of town, and there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes in the vicinity.

There's a sumptuous Irish breakfast that Mary cooks herself, and a cold buffet with fruits, scones, and pastries to choose from. Also, if you haven't quite figured out what you're going to do in Dingle yet, they have a table set up with brochures/menus from pubs, restaurants, and other entertainment facilities that you can look at.

The whole place is filled with nice touches like towel warmers, nice common areas, and much more. The whole time we stayed there the staff would do as much as they could to help us. This place has the homey feel of a B&B, but it is professional and well staffed as a hotel. Five stars, definitely!

BTW they have a hot tub but not a swimming pool, so if you're looking for a place with a pool, try somewhere else.

Room Tip: splurge on the sea view if you want a nice view, but if you don't mind too much, go with the cheaper garden view room and just go downstairs or outside to look at the sea!

There are so many reasons to choose the Greenmount House when staying in Dingle. We loved the view and how close it was to town. There was no need to drive into town- a beautiful and short walk got you there. The entire place- including our room- was well-kept and very clean. The two best things about the Greenmount House were the owners/staff and the breakfasts. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room surrounded by windows with a great view. Not only do you get a cooked to order breakfast (meats, eggs, eggs Benedict, french toast, etc), you also get to enjoy their wonderful buffet with delicious baked goods, fruit, cheeses, juice, etc. As far as the owners and staff you couldn't ask for friendlier or more helpful people. They go out of their way to help you with arrangements in Dingle. While there, make sure you take the ferry over to Great Blasket Island. The Greenmount house will pack a lunch for you to enjoy while over there. They will also set you up with Elaine of Coastline Tours if you want a tour of the Peninsula ( Elaine was fabulous with her friendliness and knowledge). Gary was a HUGE help to us while staying at the Greenmount House- he went out of his way to make sure our stay in Dingle was a memorable one.

We stayed at Greenmount House for three nights in mid June. This family-run B&B is located about a 5 minute walk from the center of Dingle, and the views from the hillside the place is located at were fantastic - having panoramic views of Dingle Harbor and the surrounding hills. As soon as we checked in, Gary took us for a little tour around the house, and showed us the "Activity table", where guests can pick up menus from local restaurants, find pamphlets for daily boat trips from the harbor, and find general information about Dingle. He then showed us to our room and made us feel totally at home. Gary explained everything in the room, from how to connect to the free wifi to operating the heating rack for the towels. The room was spotlessly clean and had two small beds and one large one. The windows were large and had some skylights, so the whole room was beautifully lit with natural light. The wonderful breakfast was included in the room rate, and every dish was thoughtfully prepared and meticulously arranged, down to the last purple flower carefully positioned onto the smoked-salmon omelet I had the first morning. The water is actually pumped in the backyard, so it is extremely fresh. Gary was always ready to help you plan daily schedules, and a very pleasant person to chat with. Please disregard the pool rating, as the House does not have one, but it has a hot tub in the backyard. Overall a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The room on the corner of the house offers great panoramic views of Dingle Harbour and Mount Eagle.

We stayed for three nights in mid-June and absolutely loved the place. Although it is a little out of town, it was definitely walking distance to get to some great pubs and restaurants. We actually liked having it slightly out of town because it added to the quiet and beauty of the place while being close enough for in-town activities when we wanted them.

We had two, spotlessly clean rooms, one for myself and my wife and one for the kids. The one my wife and I had was the sea view room. This room was very large and had a large bathroom complete with large tub and a separate shower. The hit of the room was the large picture windows overlooking the harbor as well as the balcony that was just outside. Two directors chairs are supplied in the room which gave a very comfortable way to watch as the sun went down.

The second room that our kids stayed in had two comfortable twin beds and a large bathroom. It did not have a tub, but the shower in the bathroom was very, very roomy. The room was right next door to ours so it was very convenient for the kids to come in and out of our room and us into theirs.

The breakfasts were superb, along with the service of the wait staff. The hosts were very warm and inviting. We would definitely stay here again and again.

Room Tip: Definitely get the sea view rooms - they make you feel a part of Dingle.

Just back from an overnight stay in the super Greenmount House. I booked on the phone & Gary was very helpful and courteous. On arrival we were greeted by Maria who showed us to our sea view junior suite ( 150 euro per night). Maria was a very friendly and welcoming Host who made us fell instantly at home and brought us a lovely pot of tea with chocolate biscuits to the room after we settled in. It was a beautiful spotlessly clean comfortable room with stunning views over dingle bay and town. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely powerful shower and a huge bath with a heated towel rail and modern high quality fittings. It's an easy 5 minute walk into town. There is ample car parking and we were allowed leave the car there the next day as we went exploring the town after we had checked out.
After a great quiet nights sleep we were greeted by Gary who served us a wonderful breakfast of perfectly poached eggs on toast & creamy porridge. The breakfast is just fantastic with plenty high quality ingredients to keep everybody happy. I had a quick peek into the kitchen which is just off the side & it was gleaming. Gary was happy to chat for as long as you wanted to and is a brilliant host as well. I would definitely return. This house is in fantastic condition and being very well maintained & cleaned. The only downside perhaps is the climb up from the road after your walk followed by steps up to the front of the house so perhaps the elderly or people who have difficulty with steps may find it tough. There is easier access at the back which you can park your car nearby to. Disregard the swimming pool and fitness center rating please as it has neither but it does have a cool hot tub out back.!
